Declan M (ca) wrote: An insightful and funny portrayal of what its like to be an outsider inn those awkward teen years, in a rather surprisingly adept performance from Hailee Steinfeld and the hilariously sarcastic Woody Harrelson. This is a film that most ages over 14 can enjoy, just try not to cringe too much

Lisa M (it) wrote: How is it that I have never heard of this movie ! I can't think of a single bad thing to say about it, that is rare for me, I tend to be so critical. Generally I complain when a movie runs over 2 hours, I was surprised that this one was so long and I did not notice the long run time. A truly inspiring true story. I have seen many many WW2 movies this one is top notch

Melanie D (ag) wrote: Great setting of a drowning little town on a very rainy night. I like when the guy trying to shoot and kill the 2 main characters keeps missing and says, "you're pissing me off!" You never wanna piss off the guy trying to shoot and kill you or you run the risk he might REALLY try to um, shoot and kill you, and that would just put a huge damper on your whole miserable drowning experience! Love it and Freeman is the salvation.
Steven R (au) wrote: One of THE worst films that I have ever seen. Will go down in history as one of the biggest failures ever. It is pretty hilarious, though. Jennifer Lynch needs to take a lesson or two from her father.
Weul S (nl) wrote: An amoral pianist drifts thru life seeking some real connection. When he discovers his father is ill, he rushes home to make amends, his doting girlfriend in tow, where he falls in love & into bed with his brother's fiance. Jack Nicholson gives an amazing tour-de-force performance in his first leading role.
Mike M (de) wrote: Prone to preachiness and creakiness, with a strange, downbeat ending, it's more of a curio than a key film in the Capra filmography. Still, individual scenes offer an early demonstration of the leading lady's tenacity, and you can always admire Asther's skilful, subtle tightrope-walking in a role that could easily have slipped into stereotype.
Gary B (ca) wrote: Strictly for the Van Damme fanatics. This film outdoes all of the other Van Damme films in terms of bad acting and dialogue. Not even a split kick count of 3 can save it. Not even the hilarious death scene at the end can save it.
