John C (fr) wrote: There are lots of big-time actors in the film and lots of vintage automobiles (and of course, Howard Hughes wooden airplane).

Elgan D (it) wrote: Inspirational documentary seemingly about cricket but more accurately it is the story of oppression, courage and liberation. The sport takes a back seat but that which is shown is framed dramatically with good use of period music throughout.

Jeffrey L (ru) wrote: MUCH better then the first and improves on it in every way. This being a micro-budget flick, of course the acting and effects are shit, but even then they're still better then in the first movie. The video quality is MUCH better, and I liked how they actually had characterization in this movie, where as there was none whatsoever in the first and I had no idea who was who in that movie. There's also less creatures this time around, and thus, more time spent with the creatures we do have.Pretty much take all my complaints about the first movie, and remove them for this one. Still, the mirco budget does hurt it a tad bit in the acting and effects department, but those are easily overlooked as long as you realize beforehand that this movie is a fan project made with no budget.

Scott S (mx) wrote: Travels with My Aunt (1972) -- [5.0] -- The combination of the great George Cukor and the ever-acerbic Maggie Smith doesn't add up to anything compelling in this 'Auntie Mame' wannabe. The screenplay, based on Graham Green's novel, is distractingly episodic and Smith's performance is over-the-top even for her. The tone is muddled and the score is overly precious, but if you look for a silver lining you'll find some marvelous sets and some surprisingly good makeup effects that make 1972 Maggie Smith look pretty much the way she does today!

Jordan J (es) wrote: I enjoyed watching an updated and interesting remake on taming of the shrew in a high school setting. Heath Ledger was very kind, funny and charming with the "bad boy rep" and played his part well as did Julia Stiles in being a stubborn and outspoken teenage girl she takes on the feminist aspect well. Very cute and funny if you're into romcoms with hidden Shakespeare references. I would definitely watch again!

Mark B (ru) wrote: Unfairly mocked and ridiculed as the worst ST film, STV is really not that bad. A light hearted and fun adventure with some great dialog and banter between the main characters, it nevertheless poses some interesting philosophical questions as to the meaning of faith, belief and the existence of 'god'. Backed up by the best soundtrack of the original films. 'Frontier' was simply let down by well publicised lack of funding, rushed and cheap looking effects (the infamous 'great barrier' for instance) and dubious 'non-canon' plot points. It really is better than 21% and in my opinion, superior in terms of story compared to the last two NG movies.
