Lucy P (us) wrote: Fascinating story, great acting, yet somewhat mistaken directing.

Jordan G (kr) wrote: This is a perfect example of a movie that I absolutely hate, but everyone else seems to love. I can't tell you why I hate this movie so much because it involves spoilers. So I'll just say this: The actor's do a phenomenal job with their roles, but this movie is so pointless and stupid, that the actor's just cannot save it. Again, no spoilers, but this movie has one of the worst endings I have ever seen! It's not because it's dark, it's just flat out stupid!!! So, yeah. I hated it.

John M (br) wrote: High school party film on the surface with so much underneath it. What drives the film the most is Linklater's nostalgia for a time of uncertainty, fear but complete liberation. This takes place in the 70s but feels so true to my high school days. One of the best "hangout" films of all time.

Dave J (fr) wrote: Monday, October 24, 2011 (1955) I Live In Fear (In Japanese with English subtitles) DRAMA Story involves elder man's already grown up children attempting to take complete control over the fathers factory and assets by accusing him to be mentally incompetent to the courts of Japan, along comes a mediator! The reason for the fathers radical demeanor is the fear of another H-Bomb after the Hiroshima, motivating him to selling the factory started by him, taking his whole family to move with him to Brazil, except that they don't really want to leave! Seeing the elder man in the center of this is like watching an older version of Toshiro Mifune where the character gets over excited over disagreements with the family! Instead of just letting his family go, he becomes obsessed in forcing his already grown up children to come with him! Although never boring, it sometimes feels rather pointless! 3 out of 4

Private U (ru) wrote: great war movie. awesome scene at the end as they slowly focus on the last machine gun.

Rick L (ru) wrote: No info, eh? It's a murder mystery based on a novel by Gypsy Rose Lee, but it's unremarkable except to say the casting is bizarre. Barbara Stanwick as a vampy sex symbol?

John O (de) wrote: Excellent comedy horror/monster movie!
