Le parfum d'Yvonne

How the life of Victor Chmara toppled during the course of a single day during the summer of 1958 ?

From Oscar(r) nominated filmmaker Patrice Leconte comes this story of love, loss and memory that lingers like no other. It is the summer of 1958 in wealthy Lake Geneva, where an enigmatic young Frenchman (Hippolyte Girardot of JUMP TOMORROW and MANON OF THE SPRING) begins an affair with a beautiful starlet (stunning model Sandra Majani) under the watchful eye of her flamboyant elderly mentor (Jean-Pierre Marielle of COUP DE TORCHON and THE DA VINCI CODE). But in a season full of secrets, is truth the most elusive passion of all? Richard Bohringer (THE COOK, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE & HER LOVER) co-stars in the international hit that DVD Times calls "a spellbindingly erotic slice of nostalgia combining sensuous photography, a brilliant soundtrack and a trio of pitch-perfect performances." . Le parfum d'Yvonne torrent reviews

Meredith W (de) wrote: Oren Little (Michael Douglas) is a successful, widowed real estate agent who is inherently politically incorrect and offensive. He owns and lives in an apartment building where his neighbours include lounge singer Leah (Diane Keaton) who is also dealing with the loss of her spouse. Oren's long lost, former drug user son Luke (Scott Shepherd) shows up, needing Oren to look after his 10 year old daughter Sarah (Sterling Jerins). From there the film is formula as Oren discovers his softer side and, in the process, a lovely romance with Leah. And Diane Keaton is wonderful as always.
