It was great to have these three guitarists, three of the greatest of our time, together in a room talking about what they do......Biggest surprise for me was just how intricate The Edge's effects are on his guitars. I always knew he had quite the level of effects, but seeing it from this perspective really opened my eyes...... Great Rock-doc though!!!

Betty White showed up for a minute, and had a one liner that absolutely cracked me up! Billy Zane was very funny and very charming. It has been a really long time since I have seen him in a movie that he played that kind of character. That man is timeless. I dont think that he ages at all. The whole quality of this movie is really great.

Kim B (ru) wrote: Downright one of the hands-down worst movies I've ever seen. You should be shot if you like this film. I can't believe I waited 10 years to see this atrocious film. Holy crap it was shit. The only part that was good was making fun of it for 2 hours and even then it wears on your patience for all it's God awfulness. The other parts to look forward to include, Chris Klein going shirtless and some of the cinematography....that's about it. The script, plot, characters, and acting were f*ing terrible, swaying between predictable, ludicrious, and overdramatic. That soundtrack was garbage teenage angst from the 90's. They butchered Robert Frost's poem, nothing at all like a Nicholas Spark romance if that's what you were expecting. Kind of like A Walk to Remember but 100 times shittier and more soap operish. Chris Klein has to work at being that bad of an actor and Sobieski sounds like a man, almost seems as though the actors are competing to be worse than the others. So many terrible parts where to start-how about the state naming love scene that goes on to list all 50 states, we get the point asshole, you just ruined what could've been romantic. How about Klein playing hide and seek and turning into a melodramatic story about his mom's suicide or the part where she gets knee cancer? Omg I can't even imagine something this horrible and I've seen a lot of bad movies.

Harim K (ru) wrote: h: considering the subject, less engagement than expectedw: I watched this recently too, and I have to agree with you.h: the main problem is the lack of editing. i've seen other real-footage docs that do a much better job of stitching together pieces to create a compelling narrative. this one has too much fat, maybe due to the director's own interests; he couldn't bring himself to trim them away

Mark M (kr) wrote: Conquest of the Planet of the Apes brought nothing new to the table other than a modern (at least in the early 70's) social commentary on slavery, and with the movie, the franchise is practically beating the proverbial horse for whatever worth there is left to it.
Wayne K (ag) wrote: Sliver is a completely wasted opportunity, taking a bunch of good actors and giving them bland dialogue to deliver and an uninteresting environment to exist in. The mystery is far from compelling, the screenplay is the worst combination of stupid and repetitive, it drags on interminably even after it's said everything it needs to say, and the ending is so jarring and abrupt that it feels like a giant middle finger from the filmmakers. Apparently, the heavy editing was imposed after poor test screenings, completely changing not only the progression of the film but its conclusion as well. It could have been better, but not much worse. Every actor has the earning-the-pay-check-and-nothing-more expression, and Sharon Stone is here simply to cash in on her recent Basic Instinct success, by doing more or less what made her so popular in that movie. It's boring, badly written, incompetently acted and frustratingly meaningless. Don't even bother.
