(us) wrote: Brilliant beyond words! The story is about a very average man whose life is turned upside down by a terminal illness. Vinay Pathak is brilliant, the script is solid and acting awesome. Great example of a movie that is entertaining and with a beautiful message to give.
(fr) wrote: Directed by the unknown Mo Ali, the story tells us about knife-crime because guns have been superseded. The Paper Chazers gang trade scavenged food for money but when Junior witnesses his brother's murder, he must decide whether to stick to the gang's moral code or get his own personal revenge. Showing us the present-day social issues, the murky city streets and the imaginative action, Shank gets a 6/10 because while the movie is good it's so bland and forgettable.

(au) wrote: Again was expecting more from this and found it very disappointing. It was really quite boring, not a lot of drug use or an insight into addiction considering it was supposed to be a film about a crack addict being a teacher. I did like how it showed the relationship grow between the teacher and the student thanks to her environment she's grown up in, gives each of them an understanding, but there was no real big storyline, just he's an addict, she comes from a family dealing in drugs and they form a friendship even though he goes through a rough patch and treats her like shit but there's no like real drama or storyline of what happened with her and her family or him and why he's turned to drugs, really quite disappointed with goslings acting, wasn't a true representation of addiction and just was quite a boring film with no real plot or storyline with some poor acting.
(kr) wrote: I wonder if this pitiful attempt at "8 Mile On The Slopes" keeps Tom Sizemore up at night trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Don't sweat it Tom, remember Michael Caine was in Jaws:The Revenge.
(mx) wrote: HAHA! Is it weird that this movie was ok?
(ag) wrote: good & real dilema of ethics & morality vs. the law... Andy Garcia & Ian Holm were fantastic...
(ru) wrote: As everyone would agree who has seen this, this movie falls very very short of trying to be Top Gun. It doesn't even get close. Tommy Lee Jones has some good one-liners, but that is about it.
