Josh A (jp) wrote: I suppose the conclusion is appropriate, but it's mostly lame and annoying, and much of it seems scripted and forced when it should be all off the cuff.

Brett H (nl) wrote: Had to make a rotten tomatoes account just to help out this movie's 49%, it's so much better than that.

Sandra A (nl) wrote: Very witty dark humor comedy based on an Edgar Allen Poe short story.Highly entertaining with a superb cast.

Radek C (gb) wrote: A serious piece of cinematography, but I'm not sure Wajda had the whole concept worked out. Janda's performance, typically, quite amazing. Some highly emotional bits and some, well, not that emotional - not to call them boring.

Brian P (de) wrote: not a good one, thats for sure!

Joey A (ru) wrote: A movie misunderstood by many. Proof that being a critic doesn't mean you will understand the message of a movie. This movie is deep, very deep.Imdb plot: Kiichi Nakajima, an elderly foundry owner, is so frightened and obsessed with the idea of nuclear extermination that his family decides to have him ruled incompetent. Nakajima's fervent wish is for his family to join him in escaping from Japan to the relative safety of South America. Is he crazy? Or are we, who can remain unperturbed in an insane world, the crazy ones??My review:Toshiro Mifune, the long lasting collaborator of Akira Kurosawa, brilliantly portrays a man who is driven to madness by society's madness. He feels the instability of the world around him and fears it to the deepest part of his soul. He can't stop thinking about the threat of a nuclear attack, showing Japan's fear during the Hiroshima/Nagasaki murderous attack. Why live, if we fear all those that live around us? Kurosawa takes a position on that question in this near-perfect movie where a paranoid man is not so paranoid, where a sane man might just ask himself if he's really sane or he's just part of mass madness.

Miranda S (de) wrote: A fantastic story that takes you on many twists and turns while giving a good dose of angst, adventure, life lessons, and of course - love. If you like True Romance you will certainly adore this crazy, messed up love tale.

Aaron H (ru) wrote: Quentin says he regrets making this film. Fuck that I really enjoyed this film. Kurt Russel is amazing. Great soundtrack, shocking different, original.

Jake C (mx) wrote: Yorgos Lanthimos's offbeat sensibilities work off as magically dark comedy in this dystopian classic, matched with a terrific performance by Colin Farrell.

Cylus O (gb) wrote: The worst X-men movie in the entire franchise- and a complete waste of one of the Xmen's greatest villains- Apocalypse.
