Jim H (gb) wrote: Never thought I would see the day where I would pan a movie where Pacino and DeNiro both in it, and the lead characters. Today is the day. This is a stupid movie. And by the time you get to the finish (assuming that you do get to it, since I would've walked out if I had seen this in the theater much earlier than that), you actually feel sorry for both of the leads. Never thought I'd say that about those two, either.

Pablo G (ag) wrote: I had good expectations for this movie but they slowly dissapeared as the movie had a good start, but then it became convoluted and uninteresting, with a strange pace and this feeling that the wirtters began having creativity problems as the ending aproached. Eventually, I was bored and began thinking about watching something else.

Brooklyn's Finest is Fuqua's best flick since Training Day. His flick right here may not be on the same level as Training Day, but it's certainly close to rivaling it in different categories. He gathered a phenomenal cast for this cop drama with Ethan Hawke, Don Cheadle, Richard Gere, and Wesley Snipes all giving some high caliber performances in each one of their stories. They were all interesting and I didn't favor one over the other. Sometimes they bumped into each other having no real impact until the sloppy ending that hurt the movie in my opinion. Other wise, this was a really good movie and nice to see Fuqua get back on track and see that the cast is in their prime.
Robert G (fr) wrote: I admit I have never been a big fan of John Cusack. I don't have much of a reason, certainly he a decent actor. But I'm a big Kate Beckinsale fan. First off, absolutely beautiful and on top of that she is incredibly talented. She is why I Netflix-ed this one. The movie would make a great date movie. Otherwise I think it's a average rom-com.
