The Arbac de Neuvilles are one of the oldest families in France. They have inhabited their ancient château for fifty-two generations and are proud of their noble ancestry. But today they are stone broke. When a bailiff turns up notifying them that they owe two million euros in back taxes, these proud aristocrats are understandably shaken to the core of their ancestral seat. Just how are they to find this amount of money when none of them has any capacity for work?

William K (es) wrote: Excellent psycho-drama. Main protagonist, Drummer, suffers several big traumas while serving in Afghanistan. He gets his best friend killed by not giving him a proper warning of a sniper. He kills the sniper who was hiding under cover, only to discover that it was a mother and her some son that he killed. Then discovers that the same best friend had an affair with his wife. After incompetent psychiatric treatment, the Marines release him. But as soon as he sees his home town he is struck by psychotic delusions. The movie consists of a well done sequence weaving between Drummer's sanity and psychosis. You've got to be on your toes to get it. A lot of dolts on RT didn't get it. Just when the guy is coming out of his delusion, the cops shoot him. That was a tough ending.
Miranda Z (ru) wrote: Extraordinarily relateable - though that might just be me projecting - the cast and colouring of 'The Edge of Seventeen' exemplifies the fresh, modern twist of a coming-of-age story. In particular, it grapples with the all-too-real issue of life's unfairness and the nuances in every person's life. Oddly enough, I saw parallels with 'The Girl On The Train' in that nobody is unscathed and everyone is flawed ... Yet this is acknowledged, accepted, and the film continues. The ending is perhaps a tad rushed or trite, but to be fair, anything more gloomy might be a little too much for a rather Teen Angst film.

Her boss calls her and says she has to go to Tahiti so she has this pilot take her and they crash during a storm on an unknown island. They don't get along and try to stay alive on this island and not get on each others nerves. They eventually respect each other and fall in love. This movie is funny and I thought the chemistry between Harrison ford and Anne Heche was very good and they both were good with their performances. There was a lot of beautiful scenery too. This was a great romantic comedy with lots of excitement. Harrison ford still proves that at his age he still has it.

Scott M (fr) wrote: This film version of a popular British situation comedy, looks very dated now. Watch it to see what kind of humor was once considered funny. Lots of double entendres, bawdiness, and cliched looking Arabs abound in this film.

Not a classic by any means, and some of the acting and props are poor, but it's a really good story. One by one the Mob gangster kills off his enemies, until the police can find a way to stop him using dead people to kill for him. It stars Richard Denning, Angela Stevens, S. John Launer.
