Life Of Brian

Life Of Brian

Brian Cohen is an average young Jewish man, but through a series of ridiculous events, he gains a reputation as the Messiah. When he's not dodging his followers or being scolded by his shrill mother, the hapless Brian has to contend with the pompous Pontius Pilate and acronym-obsessed members of a separatist movement. Rife with Monty Python's signature absurdity, the tale finds Brian's life paralleling Biblical lore, albeit with many more laughs.

Brian is born on the original Christmas, in the stable next door. He spends his life being mistaken for a messiah. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Mark T (fr) wrote: One of the most unintentionally funny films I have ever seen. If it were supposed to be a comedy, it would get four stars!

Codie E (de) wrote: Sayles bounces between dramatic weight and satirical comedy so eligantly building in politics to every conversation and story strand. The film proves Sayles ability as a writer; particularly the parts of Edie Falco and Angela Bassett, who together with the performaces, show a real intelligence, respect and subtlety to female characters that is so hard to find with male writers and directors. But what is often so overlooked is Sayles' ability as a director, and it is his refusal to make the film traditionally cinematic that helps ever small and insignificant moment take on extra weight and poignancy.

Tom K (us) wrote: "The Angels' Share" is strikingly hilarious, but that doesn't distract from it's more solemn moments. With that said though : "BRAVEHEART! CHEERS!"
