It's called "Cleanskin" because it's another term the United Kingdom give to terrorists which initially derived from the actual bombings of 2005(look it up on Wikipedia). That term is used for this film since the terrorists are law abiding UK citizens resulting them to be the least expected to participate in such acts. Anyways, Sean Bean plays an undercover agent hired indiscreetly to infiltrate the bombings before they happen for he's also been given authority to kill(sound familiar), and the agency would cover it up later by removing his DNA. Bean plays Ewan who's the best candidate to take on this task since he's lost a loved one who was a victim to a previous bombing. And to tag along with him is a partner named Mark (Tom Burke) we don't know too much about. Written and directed by Hadi Hajaig which from looking at the title "Cleanskin" I should've expected that the film also have to showcase the side of the terrorists too which is something I don't necessarily need since viewers should've already been aware about terrorists motivations in the first place- the reasons are obvious which are usually as a result of alienation, belonging and radicalism. There's hardly anything more this film has told me that I don't know myself. Apart from the unexpected twist ending a great portion of this film has already been done already and had been shown before. 2 out of 4 stars

The Background score is wonderfully placed and the soundtrack is just amazing, specially "smile for me" by Elijah Black.

The special solution chosen to solve the hijacking problem (= a private commando unit from an eccentric lord) combined with the inevitable psycho character(s) in the hijackers?? group complete the picture. This movie doesn??t disappoint at all, even though the acting could have been slightly more convincing and some stereotypes and improbabilities (girl rescuing ffolkes (Roger Moore) in the nick of time without him realizing she??s a girl until he puts her in the shower; Kramer (Anthony Perkins) distrusting ffolkes without any clear reason, etc. ) might have been avoided or presented in a more plausible way. Apart from that, Moore??s job is done more than adequately, as are those of Mason and of course Perkins. All these actors I find valuable additions to any movie anyway, and ??ffolkes?? is no exception. The music and the action scenes are well-chosen too. This is basically little more than a mediocre film, but all the points mentioned above together make it very rewatchable and prompted me to go to 7.5/10 lengths.

Mike C (au) wrote: Not a terrible movie but a wee bit overdone. It's listed at 141 minutes but I'm pretty sure it was nothing close to that. Either way, that was my complaint. It seemed to be stretched for the sake of reaching feature-length...never a good thing.Pegg is likable, as per usual. In this he is a writer who is researching Victorian-era serial killers...and he begins to think everyone is a serial killer to the point of becoming a prisoner in his own home. Some of the stuff just went on for quite a while when unnecessary, and something like the illustrated story at the end seems to be little more than filler. It's watchable but certainly not Pegg's finest film.

Gerald B (mx) wrote: An excellent thriller...eerie and diabolical at times in its presentation. Makes you rethink the possibility that some conspiracy theories may have more truth to them than at first meets the eye.

Ryan S (fr) wrote: The best in the series, but that's not saying much.

Hans H (mx) wrote: It's plot isn't as inventive as the original three, or even the fourth one, and the same goes to its traps. Some clever twists and overall good performances cannot save this film from being the most lackluster installment yet.

Aj V (au) wrote: So totally boring, I couldn't watch the whole thing. I may give it another chance one day if I hear anything good about it. There is a good cast, but other than that, it's not worth watching.
