I like how foreign film technology has advanced and can now compete with Hollywoods latest blockbusters despite graphics.

The film takes a look into Max's life, a very intelligent man who went down the wrong road and into the drug world. When his brother Adam moves to California to start residency at a local hospital, Matt tags along hoping to make his life better and get away from the drugs after he went through a not so pretty encounter with a drug lord. He gets a job and is getting back on the right track but soon he's back to the drugs and it's worse than ever. Now being isolated from his own brother in town, Max is hitting the lowest point ever. His brother Adam however isn't exactly coming to be drug free as he stays at the hospital longer. The film shows greatly the emotional and horrid effects of staying on drugs and how it affects others around you. James Franco does a great job directing this piece but also really shines as the main star.
Radhika N (de) wrote: A movie that shines with the sincerity and zeal of a young police officer from the provinces who is in Paris to make true his dream of an exciting career. Halfway through he is mortally wounded and the rest of the movie focuses on his superior's strong reaction to his injury and her efforts to find his attacker. Jalil Lespert is quite earnest and sincere in this film.

Jorge C (gb) wrote: An art-house, murder/courtroom film with deep moral core. I felt the courtroom sequence (3rd act). They went from being prosecuted for a ruthlessly sick murder to being putt-away for being gay. A very dark commentary on how our "liberal" North American society treated (and to some extend still does) those whom where considered different (or sexual deviants in this case).
DC F (us) wrote: Very bad movie. Ridiculous plot, ridiculous acting, ridiculous shots: just a horribly ridiculous movie. It's not even about frogs. It shows LOTS of close-up frogs breathing and jumping (being thrown). Otherwise, there are extremely bad death scenes commited by spiders, lizards, snakes, even gators. Frogs fianlly somehow kill at the very end, but how is never explained.
