Chris C (it) wrote: One of the best WWI musicals you are likely to see. But actually, it is definitely one of the most interesting anti war films I have ever seen. Very theatrical yet very cinematic at the same time. A very innovative movie. I might agree with the comment Richard Attenborough made after the screening which was the first time he'd seen it in 20 years, that it was a little bit too long, but not a huge issue and nothing to really ruin the movie or anything. Definitely worth a watch.

David S (jp) wrote: Amiable enough musical, with a couple of signature Berkeley numbers. My big problem with it is that the film sets up its musical numbers as parts of a realistic setting, then completely goes haywire when the play begins by using completely filmic conventions.

Ariana M (br) wrote: Normal, nothing extraordinary, solid cast, solid direction, thin plot

Jesse R (de) wrote: I'm probably one of the very few who thought this was a good movie. No, it's not Wes Craven's best horror flick, but it's something different that you don't see everyday. Well, most of Wes Craven's films are something you don't see everyday.I'm a fan of Peter Berg's who plays Jonathan Parker in this film. Parker dreams that his family was murdered and in fact they really were. Serial killer Horace Pinker (later in the film) is found guilty and suffers death by the electric chair. He makes a deal with the devil himself to give him powers, thus being able to go from person to person in spirit and continue to kill.In the end it's up to Parker to stop him once and for all.
