This retelling of the classic tale of James Hilton's Utopian lost world plays out uneasily amid musical production numbers and Bacharach pop music. While escaping war-torn China, a group of Europeans crash in the Himalayas, where they are rescued and taken to the mysterious Valley of the Blue Moon, Shangri-La. Hidden from the rest of the world, Shangri-La is a haven of peace and tranquility for world-weary diplomat Richard Conway. His ambitious brother, George, sees it as a prison from which he must escape, even if it means risking his life and bringing destruction to the ancient culture of Shangri-La.

Lost Horizon torrent reviews
(kr) wrote: This is a terrible movie -- a blatant rip off of Tarantino. The only redeeming thing in the film is Janet McTeer's performance as a merciless killer.
(ru) wrote: This is a terrible film. Ben Affleck is miscast. Early in his career he simply cannot shake his smarmy suburban jock persona, and it's completely inappropriate to his ex-con car thief role. Charlize Theron and Gary Sinise fare better, but their parts are so thin, they struggle to do anything interesting. The plot of this film rests on a twist that is so gob smackingly idiotic it defies comprehension. I'm furious it wasted two hours of my time.

(ru) wrote: Looks like a huge suck-out cheese-fest. But I might watch it for laughs, cause it may be horrible.
