Justin B (de) wrote: It's a surprising return to form after the disastrous previous installment. That said, it still feels tacked on and it cannot escape the law of diminishing returns.
Joetaeb D (nl) wrote: Cliche ridden, uninspired and at times unintentionally hilarious. Battle of the year is a dance flick with little dance and serves as just an advert for a dance tournament I never heard of and documentary I never watched (the director of the doc made this movie). Also the line; "We became a family" made me burst.
Carlos M (kr) wrote: I don't like that some actors/characters are wasted and disappear without explanation (like Benedict Cumberbatch), but still this is a riveting film based on a real story that is so horrendous (a huge stain in the history of the UN) that it is even hard to believe it happened.

Just didn't leave cheering... the emotion wasn't there. The lead actors where solid but seemed to lack interest in their roles and weren't as convincing as i'd thought they'd be. A good final race sequence for Melbourne Cup but this is no classic film...a DVD watch I reckon, good but not great.

Rob R (ag) wrote: OK film, but I'm rating it on nostalgia and awesome old school skateboarding footage.
Tiffany D (ca) wrote: This one came highly recommended (years ago) as a stand out of the genre... I must disagree. While it packs in some action for the torture-horror lovers, it doesn't come until over halfway in. There was simply waaay too much (extremely boring, tedious, and repetitive) set up. Even when it got rolling, it was so chaotic and discombobulated that it wasn't satisfying. Overall, a disappointment that's best for only the true connoisseurs of horror. 2.5 - 3 stars
