mike k (mx) wrote: An excellent, apocalyptic science fiction film, with interesting characters, and more imagination than 10 average Hollywood efforts combined. The plot is also well-developed and, as is the case with many such Japanese efforts, doesn't fall into the democratic tyranny of having to be easily accessible to everyone. Taking its lead from 'Sleeping Beauty' was also a thoughtful addition, and the ending is suitably epic, and in terms of the beasty, reminded me a little of Akira. You shouldn't need to be a fan of anime to get into the King of Thorn - seek it out and see for yourself.

Callum M (jp) wrote: One of the worst films I have ever seen. A film about a several stories all running alongside one another. The only interesting one is that of Danny Dyers character and he is the one with the least screen time. A complete mess.

Ric O (mx) wrote: Diane Keaton is lovely as always on this film, but it's unfunny script and predictable story makes the film boring and forgettable.

Noah Abraham G (it) wrote: "Little Voice" is a very simple movie that is executed wonderfully. Much more imaginative than many romantic comedies, the film is clever, sharp and sweet.

Xanele P (mx) wrote: I would like to meet the critics who honoured this movie with a 90% rating. The 2 hours spent watching it were long and painful.

Andrejs P (us) wrote: of course i'm not intellectual enough to read thomas hardy so this is the next best thing. three hours flew by. i have to give it to polanski though if you are into period pieces this is pretty good, although pales in comparison to such classics as The Leopard. the scene with the hunters and dogs passing by tess in the english countryside...mesmerizing though i must admit. worth a watch if you have 3 hours to spare.

Marcin W (br) wrote: As much cheesy, offensive and crude it is, it's still a great deal of dumb fun that is way better than the original movies

Kat K (kr) wrote: A great musical sensation with upbeat music and dancing. It was a perfectly done adaption from the Broadway play. Zellweger and Zeta-Jones were the perfect murderous due.

Elly P (nl) wrote: 2/16/16I'm sad that I didn't like this movie as much as I hoped. It just felt bland to me and like it was missing something. Maybe I just couldn't relate, but I wished it was something more.

Vincent A (ca) wrote: Again, the same with Tusk, I think it was a tough pill to swallow for the masses merely due to its zany subject matter. Like Kev Smith, I appreciated the bold risk of the film. It is weird. It shocks you from the dullards of predictable Hollywood blockbusters. 5000 thumbs way up!

Corlene D (us) wrote: This movie is not watched with sympathy; it is watched with empathy. It was not obvious why I liked this movie so much. Two of my favourite actors play the leads, but it is because of all the strong emotions portrayed; not one second of this movie is blas. Every scene rips at your heart in some way. We have all known shame... passion... longing... hate. We all know what we would give, what price we would pay, to correct that one mistake... futile wishing. I felt with the characters and deeply so.
