(gb) wrote: A solid drama with Ashley Judd giving a standout performance. It will remind you of her other film Ruby in Paradise. In this one, she plays Lucy, a woman who drinks too much and sleeps with a lot of different guys. She also has family issues to deal with including her dad who doesn't want to see her. A really good and emotional film with an effective directing debut by actress Joey Lauren Adams. Don't pass on this one.

(ag) wrote: The sequel is even worse than the mostly bland first movie thanks to having Vin Diesal replaced with Ice Cube who is even more bland and unconvincing as an actor and a story that instead of being basic and silly is amazingly idiotic from beginning to end

If I had to say which of the comedic geniuses we were the worse for having lost I think my head would explode before I could come up with an answer...if you have never seen this or any of their other joint ventures, do so as soon as possible...

(gb) wrote: Saw this movie when I was little and it has some moments of horror in it. The ice skating scene really stayed in my mind for a long time. This movie was made in 1980, but was shelved until 1983. The lead actress was replaced over a full frontal nudity scene that she did not want to do and most of the film had to be reshot. There are holes in the story, but I think if it didn't have all the problems it would have been a really great horror film.
(kr) wrote: great movie about revenge. I like the soundtrack and the DVD is high quality. great performances by Fred Williamson, Robert Forster, and of course Steve James. Also Joe Spinell makes a cameo
(mx) wrote: This was a classic really and very strange for the time period it was made in. I am suprised it was aloud to be released when it was. Very funny and harsh film overall. Very twisted.
(de) wrote: it starts good, but while the time runs, the movie gets boring, and more boring, and boring as hell!
(mx) wrote: It's script may not always work but Jake Gyllenhaal's riveting performance along with the film's sleek look of Los Angeles makes Nightcrawler a hard film to look away from
(fr) wrote: Decent western thriller. It starts off very engaging and gut-wrenching, and loses a little steam as it progresses. Nothins spectaculer about it.
