Rory P (au) wrote: The film could be perceived as communist agitprop for a Chinese demographic (not letting you in because of this.) But it is well honed agitprop nonetheless. Well made, and despite this slow coach finding the 4-story-structure a tad confusing/jarring initially, the film is involving.

Drew M (fr) wrote: I can't believe this film didn't get an Oscar nomination for best Foreign Language film. I mean it deserved the win in my opinion. The film is beautifully well shot with a story that is so real and believable all the way through. The story revolves around a women named Sandra who has been on sick leave from her job and suddenly finds out she no longer has a job with her boss giving the other employees a choice of whether to keep her job or get a bonus of a lot of money. Sandra spends the weekend tracking down her co-workers asking them to vote for her to stay. Marion Cotillard delivers one of the best performances of her career playing a women who in the beginning seems weak, but in the end proves to others and herself that she's strong. She puts up one heck of a fight in this story. I almost wish she had won the Oscar for best actress. I'll admit it can be a bit slow and boring in just a few spots, but overall it's an outstanding film. I rate this film as a must see! My grade=97%(A+).

Dustin B (br) wrote: Creepy. Much less tedious than the average home-invasion movie.

Daniel D (jp) wrote: A realistic and biased documentary that dipicts soldiers as uneducated but respectable.

Wade H (nl) wrote: Somewhat funny, and somewhat predictable. The three leads try but are brought with cliche characters and a lame script.

Sarah H (gb) wrote: I'm hoping that Heigl did this before Grey's Anatomy, or at least before it was really popular. The editing was really bad for this movie, lots of audio problems and some really bad continuity. The pacing is really slow for the begining of the movie and it takes more than half way through for it to get to the point. After the end titles you begin to think that it's a glorified propoganda movie for the drug companies complete with web site.

Bronte S (kr) wrote: A satisfying performance, played by Will Ferrell. Not one of Ferrells usual films, as he plays a troubled alcoholic who loses his job and his wife in the same day. This results in him having no other choice then living on his front lawn, where all his belongings have been trashed by his wife. His neighbour, Kenny, (played by Christopher Wallace Jr) helps him out, the best he can. Samantha, (played by Rebecca Hall) is moving into the house across the road. She notices what is going on, and tries to get him back on his feet. I highly recommend this movie.

Adam H (ca) wrote: A great combination of martial arts prowess from Jet Li and co. mixed with comedy. The history element of the story is interesting too.

Ron S (kr) wrote: Brilliant piece of art.

David M (br) wrote: I'm sure we've all watched a movie in a sort of bemused 'how did this ever get made / who thought this was a good idea?' kinda way. This is the most recent example of such that I've seen. Terrible, terrible film, in which it transpires that the Nazis set up a secret base on the dark side of the moon in 1945, and have spent the last 1/2 century or so preparing to invade Earth, with the time finally arriving in when this is set (2018). Terrible 'acting', some seriously bad 'comedy' moments that just aren't funny, dodgy effects and a plot that feels like it's been made up by a video-game obsessed teenager make this one to avoid.
