Rudy M (ag) wrote: My oh my, am I the first to review this 'gem' for Rotten Tomatoes? I can't believe I'm the first. Erm. Well, I kinda can. I mean, there's not even a movie poster uploaded to RT for this 'movie'. It's that bad.Yeah, let me spoil it for you: this movie is bad. Once seen, it cannot be unseen. The plot is so veil thin that even the CSI can't find it. I want my 95 minutes back now, mr. Dean Jones!I guess this is what you get when you give a makeup artist a budget to go out write and direct on his own. News flash, Dean -- it isn't good. Now I see you've finished production on 'Dark Awakening'. Please know that that's already on my 'avoid'-list.As far as this movie goes, everything's sub-par: the plot, the script, the pacing, the editing, the acting. Yes, oh my, the 'acting' is dreadful here. I was genuinely shocked to see Bruce Dern credited for this pile of utter cr*p, he was nominated for an Oscar this year. I guess someone on the board saw his involvement in Coffin Baby and Bruce could wave bye-bye to his 'actor in a leading role' win.Every word typed on this movie is one too many so I will stop here.Verdict: avoid.

Tammy P (ag) wrote: Beautiful human interest story about a grandfather, father, and his son. The setting is serene and pure. This documentary is simple, yet profound and left me longing for the sea.

Arnaldo R (us) wrote: Good movie that had a few changes from the scriptures to go "Hollywood". Otherwise, good interpretation of "The Book of Esther" and useful for our bible study.

Jamie I (fr) wrote: I hate Jennifer Garner. Really. Can't stand her. But I liked this movie. It's a simple love story with some twists and turns. But I guess the road to love never really is a straight line, is it? After the death of her fianc, Gray (Garner) reevaluates her life and finds out about her fianc's child from another woman. Along the way she falls in love with Fritz (Timothy Olyphant). I've always found Olyphant to be incredibly sexy but he usually plays really sleazy characters. In this flick he was great. He shows that he can play more than sleazy characters. Kevin Smith is hilarious in this flick giving words of wisdom throughout from Celestial Seasonings Tea (incidentally his job is to procure quotes for the tea). This is one I did want to see in the theater and I'm glad I saw it on the plane. Recommended.

Wendy S (jp) wrote: Whatever Al Pacino touches turns to gold. Initially getting past the schwanky music in the intro scene was a hard pill to swallow... but see it through... Pacino by the typewriter is worth it. Explores the changing value of marriage (and having children) and ultimately Pacino's depth of character when his wife leaves him ... and his script is sinking. REALLY enjoyed the kids' lines! Funny, genuine and well rounded. Especially being a movie made in the 80's, it tackles both the uncommitted mother topic who pulls apart her family whenever she gets an itch, and the experience through kids' eyes as far as what pain is endured when the family isn't solid. All round romantic, funny, realistic film that doesn't soft step around the difficult issues.

Zach M (ca) wrote: This was a fun Dolph Lundgren sci-fi movie.Very typical movie of the time, with lots of action, goofy dialog and some fun catchphrases. The main alien constantly says "I come in peace".

Bryan R (de) wrote: of course 5 stars. it's one of the best movies of all time.
