In 1942 Britain was clinging to the island of Malta since it was critical to keeping Allied supply lines open. The Axis also wanted it for their own supply lines. Plenty of realistic reenactments and archival combat footage as the British are beseiged and try to fight off the Luftwaffe. Against this background, a RAF reconnaissance photographer's romance with a local girl is endangered as he tries to plot enemy movements.

(gb) wrote: The perfect movie to watch during breast cancer month!
(ru) wrote: Impressive production. It's like Crash (2004) was taking place in The Middle East
(ca) wrote: Funny and romantic. I've seen better (Bride & Prejudice), but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
(nl) wrote: A guilty pleasure for those who like being overdosed on clichs. Made me laugh heartily (read: spit my dinner onto my screen). But a lot of the "evil queen's" scheme was frustratingly illogical.
(ca) wrote: Maggie Gyllenhaal is a credit to her profession. 'Sherrybaby' made me see all the pain and struggles that people who have drug addictions, or other vices have to face. It was very touching and heart wrenching to see her try, succeed and fail and still keep going. You never know what led someone to the place where they are. This movie gives you a little taste of that.

(us) wrote: This documentary left me wanting, for a film about Natchwey there's not a whole lot you learn about the man. At the end of it, all I felt was he's a cold methodical machine for communicating suffering. If you're unfamiliar with his work or interested in his technique, it's definitely worth a watch. Otherwise this doesn't say a lot.
(nl) wrote: I liked it but I was expecting more from the story and character development.
(br) wrote: Great movie, although it does get a little far left for me. Still, with Kiefer Sutherland and Ray Liotta, even if you don't want the preaching, you can still hit mute and have a great movie!
(ru) wrote: I like this movie well enough. Although, that might have a lot to do with my love of Kristen Bell and my liking of Ian Somerhalder. They work well together in this flick and the doomsday ending is awesome and a much needed break from the neverending happy endings most horror films have, or the cliche cliffhanger endings we hope they avoid.

(ca) wrote: Very good film encompassing moral issue and a genuine telling of a man's story. Dreyfuss portrays a wonderfully witty and sardonic character that the audience can still empathise with. One not to miss.
(fr) wrote: Nice performances and Lynch is always great directing but the story felt boring to me
(fr) wrote: Nothing new to see here, but a solid enough horror, although it needed to be a bit more horrific!
