chris h (ca) wrote: I'm a massive MMA fan and Anderson Silva is arguably the best MMA fighter ever, but after his fight, shown on this film with Damian Maia I lost all respect for Silva, this is a must see for any MMA fan, primarily focuses on the build up to his first fight with Chael Sonnen. A lot of behind the scenes stuff that will mean nothing to most people but to MMA fans is gold dust. Most of the film is subtitled but this doesn't spoil it in any way shape or form. If you watch MMA, you have to see this...if not, probably best giving it a miss.

George W (fr) wrote: This is a flawed attempt to flog a lukewarm turd. Aimed at the average 12-14 male, e.g. computers, yards of female flesh, slightly dodgy characters and piles of cash, sounds more like a rap vid, if only it had become one and not a film.

Lawrence W (it) wrote: If this movie were done today, it would probably have gotten a larger budget, starred Steve Carell and been a hit with critics. This movie, starring Tom Hanks just as he was becoming a star, follows the adventures of a mild mannered man and his two friends and neighbors. A lunatic whose never quite gotten over Vietnam (Dern) and of course the tubby, foolish conspiracy nut (Ducommun). Joe Dante always had a hand for these kinds of movies. Low budget horror satires and it shows. Dante never creates a lot of suspense, but he does create plenty of comedy and the laughs are pretty frequent throughout.

Denise S (br) wrote: This is my favorite Halloween type film. I don't watch scary movies, I watch comedies. And what's not to love in this? Tom Hanks. Carrie Fisher. Bruce Dern. Cory Feldman. Henry Gibson. The list goes on, terrific actors all, giving very funny performances of a delightfully droll script. The director is on point at every turn. I am surprised this movie isn't considered a cult classic. It really should be.

John P (it) wrote: Not as good as Sherlock Jr., but the stunts in this film are amazing to watch, even 84 years later. Keaton was a joy to watch on screen, but his stunt abilities are among the best in the history of Hollywood. Jackie Chan once said he was very inspired by Keaton. The last half hour is one of the most exciting I have seen in a movie.
