(us) wrote: A dramedy that fails at both ends. Lacking the depth of a drama and the laughs of a comedy. I liked the music, but it was all wrong for the time period. Alec Baldwin was good, but his role was minimal. The Farrelly brothers are good at what they do. This is not what they do.

(nl) wrote: One of Hammer's most beautiful, hallucinatory and erotically charged thrillers to date. Which is unfortunate because it's also one of their most unfocused efforts. Which is not surprising given that it wasn't scripted by Hammer's usual in-house writers. I hate to call a Hammer film a squandered opportunity at brilliance but if the shoe fits....
(fr) wrote: Okay, I was kind of distracted when I watched this by my baby, but from what I saw, this movie was awesome! Not just regular awesome, but William Smith Awesome! This is a very hard to find film that's never seen a video release in the US, but gets aired on TV every so often. The best scene has to be the infamous fight scene that is rumored to have been an actual brawl between star Rod Taylor and villain William Smith after one of the two supposedly landed a real blow. This is one scene that did live up to the hype and was a great capper to a tough little film.

(it) wrote: This modern adaptation of Shakespeare's "Hamlet" is fresh, revolutionary - a truly brilliant realization! I think that even those who shy away from the Shakespeare's twisted, complex language would enjoy and relate to this fantastic piece of work. David Tennant brings charm and wit to the young Prince of Denmark like none other. The only fault (and its hardly a fault at that) is that his character becomes slightly reminiscent of the Tenth Doctor (of BBCs Doctor Who) at times. Sir Patrick Stewart is a splendid choice as King Claudius - his impatient expression perfectly displays the hidden evil behind the character. A MUST SEE FOR BOTH TENNANT AND SHAKESPEARE FANS!!!

(mx) wrote: I had actually seen this movie a loong time ago..then i just kept seeing bits & pieces of it recently (If you just watch parts of it, you will have no idea what the hell is going on!) then i finally watched it all the way through. It's quite a strange, yet charming little film. The plot is well..kinda stupid..but funny. :) I can't say much for the acting. (Yikes!) Well, except for Robert Downey Jr. He was totally cute when he was younger. Wow. Overall, it's a fun little romantic comedy that has a different little twist to it. It totally makes you think about the whole process of reincarnation on a whole different level.
