Her best pal Kelly LeBrock dutifully sets up a blind date. Outwardly charming doctor Billy Zane is Slater's companion for the evening, and things couldn't be rosier. But it turns out that neither Zane nor LeBrock are dealing from the top of the deck, and before long Slater and her daughter Heather Lind are embroiled in a life- threatening situation. This reasonably involving thriller was scripted by actor Robby Benson. Featured in the cast are Harvey Korman and Alan Thicke.

Blais E (es) wrote: Probably the greatest made-for-TV Horror film ever, I've waited what feels like eons for this to come out on video. Truly eerie & atmospheric, with a show-stopping acting job by the very under-rated character actor Charles Durning, as the thoroughly despicable murdering-mailman Otis Hazelrigg. An old-fashioned horror-allegory about retribution & "just desserts", rife with superb performances from a top-notched cast comprised mainly of some well-seasoned character folk (Larry Drake, Lane Smith, Claude Earl Jones, & Marlon's sister Jocelyn Brando-). A great film to watch on Halloween night!!

Jordan J (nl) wrote: I actually enjoyed this movie a whole lot. It leaves me scratching my head a little bit but this movie is really supposed to do that. The movie really isn't scary but it's interesting and has a good story. It's a good revamp of the original movie and is made pretty well. Chloe Meritz was really good as Carrie. Chloe just looks so innocent but then pulls off something that is pretty disturbing. Overall I really enjoyed this movie. It's a really good revamp for modern audiences and is worth checking out. A-

Byron B (ag) wrote: By the time the Oscars started, narrative movies had already been around for roughly two decades. And this was the last big year for silent pictures. This film impressed me because the acting is less over-the-top than earlier silents, the story is good, and the camera work and use of tints to suggest different locations and emotions made for visual interest.
