(nl) wrote: Ok this movie diserves more than just a 50, sure there was saw refrences all throughout the movie (not so much refrences but it had the same style with the traps and such) however the best part about this movie is the twist/crazed ending. I loved it how she is like doing a cookshow/revenge type thing oh it was just so funny but so entertaining as well. The acting and effects were fake and stupid most of the time but it was fun made me laught and it was a good entertaining movie.

(ru) wrote: This film scared the beejesus out of me one chilly night back in 1988. The house was dark, and the biting wind outside made for the perfect setting. The ominous score that opens the film is a prize among soundtracks, done by Terry Plumeri. As a plane full of robbers end up in a condemned farm, they are brutally butchered by 3 scarecrows that have pulled themselves from their respective crosses and are looking for victims. These 3 creatures are elusive, rotting revenants protecting their land. I will give little away, as the film is worth seeing. The creep factor is often "off the charts" with eerie lighting, chilling sounds, and rather graphic death sequences. It is a film that does not compromise or disappoint. It holds a special place in fan's hearts, as it is so much better than what Hollywood calls "horror" there days!
(de) wrote: A pretty unique romance film. It isn't full of the typical romantic film cliches like other similar films. That doesn't mean that it's a great movie either. It's pretty good, as it's unique, has a nice cast of actors, and it's kind of interesting. That said, it could have been better. A little comedy never hurts, for one thing. So, I haven't seen this in a while, but that's what I have to say about what I remember of this film. Overall, it's pretty good, but more for the romantic drama fans.

(ru) wrote: The one word you could describe this movie is: confusion. All of the parts are acted well and the camera work is brilliant, but you cannot identify (literally) anyone when the action starts. The characters look the same and it is almost impossible to emotionally react when people get killed off. Scott does a great job using that element, but analyzing it's fruitless.
(es) wrote: Made and Released long before Silent Night Deadly originally as the great titled You Better Watch Out is a nifty little cult classic...not as violent or bloody as Silent Night but just as effective and strange.
(au) wrote: Capitalizing off the success of "Top Gun", director Tony Scott and actor Tom Cruise reunite to bring about another strong drama, trading Naval aviators in for stock car racers, in "Days Of Thunder". Cruise plays Cole Trickle, a nobody racer without a sponsor brought in by Tim Daland (Randy Quaid) to get them into the business of racing. The real star of the show is Robert Duvall as Harry Hogge, the pit crew captain that has all but retired. It's when Hogee and Trickle work together that they become the unstoppable force in racing. Trickle's rivalry with Rowdy Burns (Michael Rooker) reaches the highest dynamics of the film, especially when it comes to them racing down the hallways of a hospital after a major crash on the track. Also, Trickle's blossoming relationship with Dr. Claire Lewicki (Nicole Kidman) takes front seat towards the second act of the film, in one of Kidman's strongest showings to date, despite being the stereotypical good woman drawn to a flawed man. Tony Scott's style shines through and banking on the popularity of Cruise at the height of his career, "Days Of Thunder" is an utter success, bringing more emotion and suspense to the screen than any racing film could ask for. As with "Top Gun", which was somewhat dated by its use of music, "Days Of Thunder" hits many of the same marks, but in the end, its a reminiscence that makes this film as strong as it is, reminding us of '90s in all the best ways.
(it) wrote: when i saw the commercials i was blown away. i am a pretty big fan of the old west so i was hyped. unfortunately the best part of the film was the best part. it was solid A+ popcorn entertainment but as the film went on it became more absurd and increasingly boring. this film doesnt exactly deserve 2 stars but i i feel horrible for it it made 10 million at the box office and is widely hated and it doesnt deserve all that.
