Harry W (de) wrote: Atmospheric and compelling, Zombie is in full-frontal flair with Lords and proudly presents a far more distuingished side to his directorial work and general approach to film. Whilst the story is odd and some of the choices in character design such as how he chose to depict the Devil are really quite bizarre and probably only make sense to Zombie himself. Whilst I love Zombie, I've never found his wife to be of much substance in his films especially when it comes to emotional scenes and I find her to fare better in the role of a psycopath (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects...), nevertheless Rob's approach to witchcraft and american history are all very interesting and the film is unique enough that it might appeal to those who previously dismissed his fimography. Veteran actors Judy Geeson, Patricia Arquette and Dee Wallace Stone star as three humble "sisters" and are one of the weirdest yet greatest additions to the picture.

Reece L (ca) wrote: We're introduced to the domineering nature of this affluent Italian family in the grey-black pallet of a harsh winter set against a castle-like mansion, with the subtle ploys for power and passive-aggressive put-downs framing Swinton's Emma as a kind soul trapped in a crushingly wealthy milieu. This is a well-formed space, fertile ground for entertaining melodrama, and although Emma's journey to freedom goes beyond the bounds of reason, the style and performances are so excellent that the experience is still ridiculously fun, even if we're just watching beautiful people being sneaky for two hours.

On en a le souffle court. Dil Ka Rishta marque l'apogee du film, avec des effets visuels prenants, a defaut de choregraphie ! Immense.

Beautifully presented in a quite a comic way very serious ideas of making choises and consequences, love and relationships, family issues. This movie made me cry and think, which makes it a good movie.
