A oublier.

(au) wrote: Michael Jackson took the then new format of the music video, and turned into an artform. He wouldn't just make a video of him performing the song...he'd build a little story, get talented people to help him choreograph and direct and write the stuff, and create a short film to showcase his latest pop tune. "Thriller" is an excellent example of the music video form, but it is also a fun little short film with homages to classic horror (particularly werewolf movies and Night of the Living Dead). John Landis, of "An American Werewolf in London" directs this excellent music video, the first, and currently only, music video to be selected for preservation by the National Film Registry. It's sad that Jackson was so talented at one time, and faded from relevance in his later life...becoming a weird creeper before dying much younger than anyone really should.

(mx) wrote: Typical serial killer/slasher movie with better than average effects; how some of the victims stayed alive so long as they are being hacked didn't make sense. The plot is cliched, but the acting is decent. Really, the only reason this gets a passing grade is because of the loveliness of Alexandra Daddario and some of the cleavage baring tops she wears.
