Brett B (jp) wrote: A solid, workmanlike interpretation of the dual trajectories that led Kennedy and Oswald to that fateful day in Dallas. Lowe's a fine JFK, but he's really more of a supporting character in what is pretty much "The Lee Harvey Oswald Show," and that's interesting, as Oswald has never been the focus of a story in this way before; the characterization of Oswald is one of a man dangerously deluded, and the fact that this docudrama comes down squarely on the Oswald-acted-alone stance might rub some of the more conspiracy-minded audience members the wrong way. All said, though, it's a handsome-looking production (produced by Ridley Scott, no less), and it's a fine addition to the Kennedy assassination canon.

Mark A (gb) wrote: A bland, cliched potboiler only worth watching for versatile Australian actor Sarah Snook (following her cult breakout role as the multiple-transgendered protagonist of PREDESTINATION, an interesting, but very flawed adaptation of Heinlein's "All You Zombies").

Riff J (kr) wrote: A phenomenal movie with incredible action scenes, as well as moments that tug on the strings of our hearts. Brad Pitt does great in the lead role... a welcome change for 2004. This movie will have even more impact for those that don't know the backstory.I would be more inclined to believe the 73% of audience that liked it vs the subpar 54% approval rating given by the "critics".

Robert M (br) wrote: A fairly funny movie with a few laugh out loud moments here and there. My favorite part especially was the part when Miles and Buck had their "quick" conversation back and forth with each other. Some parts of the movie felt a little dull to be honest, but John Candy himself is certainly a pretty classic actor. Of course, Uncle Buck wasn't too bad of a character either! The overall story wasn't bad and the near ending and the ending itself had some good charm as well. Without Candy, the movie could've been worse.

Todd A (de) wrote: Made after Fantasia but you really wouldn't think it from the qaulity. This is like Fantasia's little brother that wants to prove himself but tries to hard. The animation lacks the quality of the two Fantasia films but it also doesn't have as interesting music pieces either. Overall Make Mine Music is an extremely forgettable film and I am sure that most of you are wondering right now what this movie even is. I hadn't heard about it until I saw it on the list of classics and I will simply tell you that there is a good reason that it has never ben mentioned nor seen. Pretty much it is a cheap Fantasia, nothing but musical numbers along with animated shorts. The animation is not without a little bit of cleverness and originality but it is so sub par that it feels like it was half assed and rushed. The music also feels very dated and the audio does not come off as being well recorded. My advice? Skip this one, but I'm sure you would've done that anyways. In fact, you would have never known it existed had I not mentioned it.
