Geerlings and Mane have written characters than many can realistically relate to, and have included close-to-home themes that are handled delicately. An independent film without the look or feel of an arthouse or gorehound flick, Compound Fracture succeeds in selling the supernatural and murderous element with a plot that is methodical, yet never plodding, building to a crescendo that never resorts to camp.I will be honest in that this film surprised me. For those who want something new, something fresh... I cannot recommend it enough.
