Leo L (es) wrote: Intriguing sequel to 'East is East', this film follows teenager Sajid, George, Ella, and Maneer in the homelands of the Khan patriarch. With Annie (Ella's best friend) in tow, Ella finds the countryside an entirely different world and a whole different life that George had left behind. Getting to know the first wife, Ella realizes there is more to this side of the family with their troubles as much as there is to deal with her own. In the meantime, Sajid and Maneer are striving to keep the family together while also having a round of skirmishes of their own.Worthy!

Pegah P (mx) wrote: yet another Iranian movie proving having a very low budget doesn't mean shit! these girls are fierce. being from Iran myself, i could totally feel their anger and rebellion, even though i never did attempt to break in a stadium to watch soccer. this is the harsh reality of every day life for Iranian (and many other middle-eastern countries) women. cheers to the day of change.

Vincent Z (br) wrote: This movie is another classic. I was riveted to the tv. Can others see what we are doing in the room where our tv is? Anyone who can access the myriad of components in a tv now? After all we sit in front of a image creator. Is it possible for with the technology today. For computer whizz masters, or the government cannot view us and what is going on in our homes? Even hear us in another room, with the tv off? OMG what a scary thought? roflmao

Steve S (it) wrote: In seeing this for the first time in 2016, I thought it would be difficult for the movie to connect with me as opposed to if I'd seen it decades ago. That, however, didn't turn out to be an issue. My issue is this: When you boil it down, the "action" scenes are just...{picture of a guy in a plane talking}, camera cuts to {other guy in another plane talking}, then cuts back to the first guy. It makes the dialog feel disconnected with the action. I am also surprised that a very important plot point regarding Goose was never spoiled for me.

The tie between present and past engages the audience to embark on their own journey through history and the stories of ones past.

John Wayne only occasionally lent his tough guy persona to more comedy driven vehicles, and out of these film it seems that North to Alaska is the best one of them. Charming in its overall simplicity while also occasionally genuinely funny, Hathaway's film is one that will perhaps please a wider audience than the usual western one.

Carlos I (de) wrote: Not as funny or entertaining as one would assume. It's got a few decent moments, but the unlikeable leads don't really help sell this movie. And what's with the flood of zombie comedies lately...?
