Howard Thorne is a rapist in Los Angeles: he meets women at work and at parties or he sees them walking down the street, and he follows them, terrifies them, and assaults them. He also dreams about these assaults, and he's unclear how much of what he's done is real and how much is fantasy. He ignores his heroin-using wife, Vicki, who tries everything she can think of to get his sexual attention. Howard and Vicki go separately to a costume party where she learns the full truth about his nature and where he is stalked by one of his recent victims. Individualized versions of Hell await Howard and Vicki.

They manage a very special platonic relationship that is normally so hard to show on screen between a man and a woman. The contrast between England and Australia could have been much better though with some simple colour-washes. Fascinating story that will surprise many on both sides of the world.

But I found this movie the least bit of funny. Sure a couple jokes made me laugh, but most didn't which is a real shame because I wanted to have fun with this movie. But in the end it turned into a big failure. I'm not saying that I hate this movie, but I feel like it was a missed oppourtinity. It was still funny at some parts but in the end it turns into a disappointing flop. Clueless in my opinion was average. If your looking for a dumb comedy to watch on Netflix, then Clueless may be the film for you.

Sterling Hayden gives his usual quirky and stiff, big voiced performance (which I love) as Jim Bowie. There is also a much more rustic portrayal of Davy Crockett that's very different from Wayne or Fess Parker's version of the man. If you like westerns, Hayden, and/or Ernest Borgnine, you should like The Last Command.

(it) wrote: Convoluted, sixties stylized low grade Hitchcock thriller with too many twist and turns entertaining for no other reason than watching its stars Peck and Loren perform. Donen did better a few years earlier in CHARADE with this type of material.
