Monterey Pop

On a beautiful June weekend in 1967, at the height of the Summer of Love, the first and only Monterey International Pop Festival roared forward, capturing a decade’s spirit and ushering in a new era of rock and roll. Monterey would launch the careers of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Otis Redding, but they were just a few among a wildly diverse cast that included Simon and Garfunkel, the Mamas and the Papas, the Who, the Byrds, Hugh Masekela, and the extraordinary Ravi Shankar. With his characteristic vérité style, D. A. Pennebaker captured it all, immortalizing moments that have become legend: Pete Townshend destroying his guitar; Hendrix burning his.

A film about the greatest pre-Woodstock rock music festival. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Ken T (fr) wrote: Definitely a SyFy "B" movie...It had decent action and special effects, but the acting was poor. The storyline was lacking in substance and the bad guy was lacking in everything including a decent villian personality. Oh well, with that script and the line up of virtually unknown actors and actresses what can you expect...

Sandra D (fr) wrote: "He loved her from afar. It wasn't far enough."I enjoyed watching this movie. Ellen DeGeneres is a woman who seeks the perfect man to start a relationship with but when she seemingly finds Mr. Right, he turns out to be Mr. Wrong because he shows an entirely different and wacky personality. When she tries to convince all the other people about his personality changes they won't believe her. I had loads of fun watching this movie but it seemed a little cheesy at times.

Bradley P (kr) wrote: Twins, lots of em. Thats what one can expect from this eighties feeling 1994 comedy that isn't too funny but not that bad either. Expect cheesiness and one may be able to enjoy this mildly entertaining comedy about twin body building brothers looking after twin spoiled brats for a weekend.

Jussi E (fr) wrote: Beautiful cinematography. I can't claim to have understood a lot on first viewing but I certainly enjoyed the film.

Private U (ag) wrote: The movie that started the entire cannibal sub-genre of horror--THE MAN FROM DEEP RIVER is a gory and well-done horror film that I highly recommend checking out. I like how director Umberto Lenzi had the villagers speak their native tongue (without subtitles) to make the film even more realistic from the American's point-of-view. The sad thing about this movie is that it's NOT all that brutal and fans who are looking for another CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST or FEROX will not find it here. If you want a good survival story with a nice helping of blood and not a run-of-the-mill cannibal film, then THE MAN FROM DEEP RIVER is a movie you should be dying to check out.
