Phaedra V (mx) wrote: The high quality of the backwards tracking, continuous Steadicam shot from the parking lot, into and through the department store impressed me almost as much as the opening crane shot in Orson Welles' Something Evil." Meredith Bishop carried her part so well.

Simon D (br) wrote: Ken Loach doesn't make bad movies but this is not his best. If you've seen Norma Rae you probably don't need to see this.

Brenda M (es) wrote: excellent movie, Mirren and Segwick wonderful performance!!

Brian S (de) wrote: Probably Peter Jackson's most famous early horror movie was the good "Braindead" (1992), but before that, came out this little flick. "Bad Taste" is absurd, horrible cheap and real poorly made, it almost feels like a student project. And this is definitly a film without any limits to how disgusting and over the top the gore is. If you're a big gore hound, this is the film for you.

Leah M (fr) wrote: I love this movie and so does mom

Art L (es) wrote: French cinematique. Plus Catherine Deneuve is timeless beauty.

Mike M (br) wrote: Like very little else - a period movie that unfolds in the present tense - though its particular fascination is somewhat akin to stumbling across a time capsule, or spending the day at Beamish, Ironbridge Gorge, or any other of those working historical towns - only, if anything, more authentic, because the performers have this life in their blood, and are only one or two generations removed from the existence depicted themselves... This sort of viewing traditionally appeals to the conservative in us - offering a return to the simple life, a reconnection with the soil, a sense of lost community (one of the last lines is "there's no faith now, nor respect for one's neighbour"), yet Olmi's legacy seems less those prettified visions of country life "Manon des Sources" and "Jean de Florette" than Bela Tarr's muddy agricultural epic "Satantango" or subsequent reality-TV endeavours where pampered city dwellers are forced to abide by the traditions of the past: projects with some understanding of the hardships that come with living off the land. For better and worse, this - you feel - is what it was really like.

David F (ag) wrote: This stylish retro vampire lesbian horror film is a somewhat superior exploitation film owing to its good soundtrack and the mesmerizing acting of Soledad Miranda.

Lou S (jp) wrote: At first you think the moral is going to be "GO TO SCHOOL" but the moral is actually "BE ELVIS"

James M (nl) wrote: Moderately funny and entertaining parody of the Elizabeth Taylor epic.

neil L (ca) wrote: Cool movie, a little dumb I guess

Miguel R (de) wrote: Annoying and colorless, Rio is simply a horrible example of a fun filled family adventure

Shawn M (br) wrote: A movie like The Magnificent Seven doesn't need a sequel.
