M C (jp) wrote: An interesting and appropriately weird film, but it doesn't have as much impact as it should. 74/100

Viren S (us) wrote: Took my 7 year old to see chillar party. Both my daughter and I were disappointed with the moview. The movie never manages to hold your attention and does not really have a story to say. May be a decent view over netflix, but not worth spending the time and money in the theatre.

Lee M (au) wrote: Frownland is at first revolting, then addictively fascinating, and in the end leaves you wondering whether you have discovered an entirely new cinematic universe or have simply suffered through a horribly incompetent mess. I vote for the former, though Bujalski does mumblecore better.

Jim B (br) wrote: It seemed like it had a good message to send, but there was too many loose ends.

Niall M (es) wrote: I'm sure I would have enjoyed this more if I understood Turkish, as it was obvious there was a lot of wordplay and verbal humour which wasn't coming over in the (poor) subtitles. Mildly entertaining overall, although boring for large stretches, cheap-looking, plotless, borderline racist, and with only one good joke. In a dual role, Cem Yilmaz is much better as the baddie Logar than the hero Arif. Best thing about this was the gay robot. Surprisingly, not as good as the similar German film "Traumschiff Surprise" (which is itself pretty poor).

Kris K (mx) wrote: How can you make a funny (soft) porn movie? Could Scorsese do it; or Coppola? Doubtful! Its the greatest movie ever made. Since all art is essentially about sex this one tops all.

Branham N (us) wrote: Never liked it, still don't.

Hrant B (es) wrote: This flick is very dark and sad, the first time I watched it I didn't think much of it nor did I want to watch it. This time I didn't understand why Cage's character acted the way he did and hunt down the killers of some girl he wasn't related to. Overall it was a good movie to watch again.

Jake H (nl) wrote: Intriguing. Not as action packed as modern thriller movies but still should be viewed as a precedent for some thrillers these days.

Michael S Y (fr) wrote: Brilliant film, hilarious, gritty and just astonishing.

Arash B (kr) wrote: What saves this movie from being a typical prison flick is its good ending although it would have been better without those crappy last lines said by the doctor

Kenny N (es) wrote: No stars. The taglines on the posters are infinitely better than the movie. If you see a more toothless and lame "thriller/horror/drama" than this, it would have to be on Lifetime Movie Network, which it seems this movie escaped from. It's not scary, it's not thrilling, it's not anything. Just a waste of celluloid with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I'd call it one of the worst films ever made, but it's so lifeless that any emotional reaction I have to it would be expending more energy on this than anyone involved in making it did.

Ashleigh B (fr) wrote: Better than the first one

Dan C (ca) wrote: Lots of people think this is the best thing ever. I found it like all of Fulci's other flicks I've seen. It's awkwardly acted and dubbed, the action sequences are devoid of energy, and the gore is disgusting and top-notch. It's not as surreal as you'd think based on its reputation; I don't think it's any better than any of his other movies. It was pretty boring actually. But gore, yes, it is spectacularly disgusting.

J K (ru) wrote: Lacks most of the charming wit and tongue-in-cheek humor of Support Your Local Sherrif. Actually looks more like a parody of a Jamess Garner Maverick movie, only Garner parodies himself, which is quite odd. Goldie Hawn playing a madam? Now THAT's good type casting.
