Walter M (ag) wrote: In "Supporting Characters," Nick(Alex Karpovsky) gets to sleep in while his fiancee Amy(Sophia Takal) goes to work. That's not to say he has it easy because he and his partner Darryl(Tarik Lowe) have their work cut out for them in editing Adrian's(Kevin Corrigan) movie. On the other hand, Nick gets to work with the beautiful Jamie(Arielle Kebbel) in re-recording some of her dialogue. As a movie about film editors, "Supporting Characters" suffers in the shadows of Albert Brooks' previous "Modern Romance." That's not say "Supporting Characters" it not without its share of pluses, namely being an amiable romantic comedy with a likable cast. It also has a sweet conversation centered around "Indecent Proposal." But just as "Supporting Characters" seeks to show how important editors are to putting together a film, it also gives a tutorial in how not to edit one, which is namely illustrated by the movie's inconsistencies.

Grant H (ru) wrote: Horrible movie. Beneath the Darkness not only has an unoriginal plot, its plot is full of clichs, is not scary, creepy, nor suspenseful. The only positive thing that could be said about this movie would be Quaid's performance.

Janice B (mx) wrote: I LOVE HAPPY ENDINGS

Jeff L (kr) wrote: It's structurally disjointed and (I suspect) rather hagiographic, but who cares if the result is fun and inspiring? Nowhere near as insightful as The Grandmaster (which was also flawed), but the choreography is poetic in and of itself.

Yui T (fr) wrote: It's well written movie. When you start watching this movie, you have an idea where the story goes. Then more it goes, the idea changes along the movie. Towards the end, they could have used more of the close shots to show the tensity. I think that would have made the movie much better.

Dodd A (ag) wrote: It seems like John Sayles comes out with a movie every year that go completely unnoticed, which is a shame. This is not a masterpiece, but it is a toe-tapping drama set in racially-segregated Alabama. It is also a great role for Danny Glover, who generally fails to impress me.

Terra R (gb) wrote: Lame...not even worth a half a star. This could have been a horrifying movie but it had cheesy music and horrible actors. Lame. A big dissapointment.

Rahul K (de) wrote: an awesome movie i'd rather call it a documentary cuz all of it is true!! a must watch--it talks about the hindu-muslim fight

Mattias E (it) wrote: Part of Abbas Kiarostamis series of peculiar roadmovies where he rarely ever lets DP Homayun Payvar out of the vehicle to shoot. As the picture's self-explanatory English title suggests, Kiarostami's aim is to record life as it is. There's evidently very little actual acting going on here and the narrative seems to go nowhere, but that's probably very much the point. Zendegi va digar hich is simply a celebration of life in the wake of disaster, beautifully rendered, unsentimental and self-reflectory.

Mark D (ru) wrote: I'd give it a 7: Moore's performance is one of my favorites for comedy and the movie as a whole balances comedy and drama perfectly.

Arg J (mx) wrote: Apparently a movie written by adolescents. Just one cliche after another. Cheap laughs wrung out of characters that are one-dimensional pastiche. What a waste of time. TV sitcoms are much better on every front.
