De D (de) wrote: Une bonne comdie dans la moyenne

Jose V (gb) wrote: Original, funny, dark and entertaining. I didn't expected to like it as much as I did.Love is Hell

Anthony W (kr) wrote: This movie is just dull. So dull you don't care whether any of the characters, lives, dies, or is victorious in the end.

Biff L (gb) wrote: This was surprising good for a low budget foreign thriller.

Tatsuhito K (kr) wrote: Cliched, forgettable, old-fashioned, enjoyable at time to time, overly long, dull.

Orlok W (mx) wrote: When you get shot in the head, it makes you think... He can't help it...he's Italian--A love story, something like Romeo & Juliet, but with a wicked twist... Strange-But-True Characters In Dark Comedy!!

Marion R (us) wrote: I was bored in this movie, maybe because I didn't care around the end of the film.

Lanning (mx) wrote: One for the sentimentalists -- like me : ) Almost an unhappy ending, but they manage to pull it out. One of Cagney's "softer" roles, demonstrating his versatility. Sheridan is okay as the love almost lost, but her energy level struggles to keep up with Cagney's. A wonderful supporting job by many, and especially so for Elia Kazan as Googie Zucco. Perhaps best of all is the remarkable soundtrack that is powerfully reminiscent of Gershwin.

Scott R (mx) wrote: absolutely idiotic. Milland is the only thing decent in it.

S K (kr) wrote: With mediocre acting (with the exception of Mira Sorvino), a script that feels like a first draft, sloppy editing and amateurish directing, this film has no perceptible atmosphere, almost no emotional resonance and leaves you yawning through a story of matricide. Another example of what could've been an interesting film squandered by what seems like technical aspects thrown-together last minute and a story/characters with substance neglected.

Nguyen Thuy H (de) wrote: I didn't like Kill List, which I thought to be trite, excessive and unoriginal, but Sightseers is a great film. In Kill List, the director had tried to drive home the idea that those who claim themselves to be on a sabbatical are just murderers, really. But the idea couldn't come alive in Kill List because the writing was too poor and inadequate. Sightseers, on the other hand, was supplemented with a fantastically detailed script. It might even have made a case for a furious critique of modern English social moores, had it not been so absorbed with its two ridiculous characters.
