Mario H (ru) wrote: It could be a good movie if CGI is from. CGI LOOKS LIKE IT IS FROM 1930. Shame

King L (ru) wrote: Another action-packed 1970s style exploitation film from Robert Rodriguez. Danny Trejo is very good as the stone-faced ex-Federale, Machete, who gets framed for the attempted murder of an unscrupulous senator. The senator is part of a conspiracy between his aide, a Mexican drug lord and a racist anti-immigrant vigilante. Machete goes after them with dogged determination to bring them down. It's the first time I've ever seen Steven Seagal play a villain, he's the drug lord.

Sangiev S (it) wrote: Great movie with a great actor, it may seem confusing at first but it all makes as you go along with the film, which is always good. I would recommend this!

Zebulon R (ca) wrote: I have no idea why this is in my collection. I didn't buy this shit.

Derek B (ru) wrote: This is a movie I always watch around Christmas. A wonderful tale.

Doug B (br) wrote: Early (1935) Humphrey Bogart with all his calling cards in order for an extraordinary career to come with the scintillating and stimulating company of Bette Davis and Leslie Howard (much better than either of them was in 1934's "Of Human Bondage" by Somerset Maugham.

Bheema D (au) wrote: Yeah, it's not really very good. But it really SHOULD be. The lighting is pretty snazzy and the set design is adequate, especially for such a b-level movie. The concept is also fantastic, probably the reason it inspired the 1979 masterpiece Alien. But dude...the script is so rushed and the acting is so horrifically bad that only hardcore 50s sci-fi nerds can survive the mere 69 minutes.

Blake B (es) wrote: Beginners is a sweet, lovable story. Although the slow-pace and having the film jump around from time to time may not be for some, the film succeeds with a beautiful, top notch performance by Christopher Plummer.

Oliver N (au) wrote: Ahh, the joy of '90s movies. So fruitful, so good. We had Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List, Titanic, Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, Seven, Silence of the Lambs... to list a few. And then there were the other '90s movies. Ones that were trying so hard to be clever and unique, but in the end fell onto cliches... and actually were rather tiresome after a while. This is one of the latter. The script - though I have seen far worse - dragged on the movie for at least 30 minutes longer than it had to be. Mel Gibson gave a decent performance - as did Julia Roberts - but the movie itself can only be described as average all round. Nothing memorable.Verdict: C

Steve M (nl) wrote: Great movie, even if it's now 100% accurate. The best part of the movie is the scene at the end when Cagney's dances down the White House staircase.

Melissa R (ru) wrote: I don't care what anyone says. This movie had some of the funniest scenes. That girl was hilarious.

Nader K (au) wrote: A sexy, edge of your seat thriller that takes you on an exciting ride. Pierce Brosnan's performance is exceptional in a role that's nothing like he's done before. Beautifully shot and cleverly assembled to keep you engaged, Urge is definitely worth the experience.
