Rachel (de Havilland) is the widow of a Cornish man of property (John Sutton), who died in suspicious circumstances. Philip Ashley Burton is the dead man's cousin, who in probing his relative's demise immediately suspects Rachel -- and goes on suspecting her even after he falls in love with her.

Annie E (ca) wrote: Beautiful lighting and camerawork, a great cast, and John Adams' would-be moving score can't make up for the totally lacking script. It plays like a list of stereotypically dramatic scenes without the necessary connective tissue between them: the audience's emotional investment. No work is put into making us see why these "dramatic" moments are important, much less *feel* that they are. The beautifully constructed moments of this film add up to far less than the sum of their parts. I will say it did leave me with a heavy heart, heavy with the thought of all the wasted talent poured into this sinkhole script.

Michael W (es) wrote: Rubbish...Really, this movie needed to be made?? It can be thrown in the cupbaord with all the other 'teens go off and get killed' slasher movies. There is nothing interesting or original about this. Did I use the FF button: yes Gore: 7/10 Horror: 4/10 Gratuitous nudity 0/10 (I can't remember any and won't go back to look) If I lost this movie I would: be thankful this stinking turd is out of the house

Jenna I (fr) wrote: This aged terribly. I have a feeling it was interesting and new when it came out but it's a complete mess now. The wolf-vision effects are grating, the acting is wooden, the stereotypes are rampant, there's a really bizarre sex scene thats just totally inconsequential and the pacing is atrocious. Disappointing for Albert Finney, though I will say his accent is pretty spot on. The good would be the use of actual wolves, but it's few and far between. This would be a great candidate for a remake that in a twist reveal highlights the wolves as the sympathetic ones.

Tom S (de) wrote: George Eads is a charmer in this movie, except at the very end when he essentially deserts his daughter. Like the rest of the movie, it made no sense. The characters are little more than cartoons, and uninteresting cartoons at that. In fact, calling them cartoons is giving them more credit than they deserve. Don't even get me started on the gratuitous, over-long shots of strippers' bodies, etc. Pathetic and horrible. I don't often write reviews, but was motivated in this case in the hopes of saving others from wasting their time on this movie. Seriously, don't do it. Even if you are willing to put up with a bad movie just to watch some martial arts fights (as I often am), you can forget about that too. There's not even a hint of Aikido in here. Steven Segal is such a joke these days. So sad.

Eric H (nl) wrote: "Rocky III" isn't just about the way a fighter wins his title back. It's about a man that believes in himself, it's about hope and honesty with yourself. There's more into the Rocky series then an underdog story... it's about a man and his life's story. It's about the power of trust... because Rocky believed in himself first of all, he knew that he was a great in what he was doing and he impressed the hole world with that.Apollo's help meant in a symbolic way, that in life, there will always be someone else to believe in you. Even someone you thought to be your challenger. And of course there's his wife that will be with him no matter what.I believe that the Rocky movies are about a man that's showing the world, being poor is not a problem... being gifted it is... :))

Mayank A (de) wrote: Interesting Movie, loved the plot and the way the story explores racism. A dog trained to kill blacks being retrained to let go of this behavior. The music is great and the movie is intense. Always keeping you on edge, will they be able to cure the dog !!
