Lauren B (nl) wrote: I enjoyed this movie, as someone who enjoys writing, I liked that it's about writers. It had a good cast and the actors/actresses did a nice joy with their roles. I like the story, it has some very heartfelt moments and feels real.

Michael H (jp) wrote: One for the fans - the music is fantastic, but I would have preferred a bit more behind the scenes, and when the inevitable arguments start it's a pity that the film makers just get up and leave

Kyle G (es) wrote: This was fantastically filmed and amazingly acted. What a show! Encore!

Hunter D (de) wrote: JOHNNY SUEDE opens with the titular character finding a lovely pair of shoes after they've been tossed out a window. He puts them on, they fit, and a facade starts to build. There is an old expression that "the clothes make the man," which is true in the eyes of others, but shoes inform how we perceive ourselves. The shoes we wear often inform the way we behave and present ourselves physically. Johnny Suede's shoes make him think he's too cool for school, and a broken heart causes him to approach love from a cool distance he is incapable of pulling off. Brad Pitt is fantastic in the lead role, and he puts on a facade as big as his pompadour in this film, only to have his poseur exterior slowly crumble, something he has a tough time dealing with. Tom DiCillo's debut was met with with a cool reception, and I'm not sure why, but at least it helped highlight Pitt's abilities as a leading man.

Chris C (jp) wrote: Career Opportunities is surprisingly smart and undeniably funny and delivers the unlikely sparking chemistry between Frank Whaley and Jennifer Connelly with likable performances.

Jeremy G (jp) wrote: The definitive movie from the early stage of the series. This is the first time we really see the dark side of Zatoichi.

Patrick B (nl) wrote: A good movie with some solid acting. An interesting story. Most submarine movies are all about sub vs sub. It was nice to see a submarine take on a battleship. I'm sure the effects where great for its time, but now some of the underwater views of the submarines are just laughable. I won't hold that against it though. 7 out of 10.

Lee M (it) wrote: This movie is so much the opposite of uplifting that you think Gary Oldman ought to be in it. But it's honestly made, and its second half does linger in the memory.

Jacob B (mx) wrote: B+I had fun with 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'; it's sentimental, funny, charming, and despite running into the romantic-comedy formula, decides to have fun with it and also provokes thought.
