The cast is pretty good, as are the special effects for their time. This is also kind of random, but I like this film for its significance to the modern classic book Ready Player One. Unrelated really, I know, but I still appreciate the tie-in. Anyway, check this out.

When "Boots" started I was wide awake. As the movie progressed my eye lids started to droop and my jaw started to hang. I remember the beginning of a scene and it's end but I do not remember the in between. I love watching Errol. He's a little cliche but that was the 30's for ya. More than Errol is the tendency of Olivia to seem cliche. She carries the same voice with her throughout the film and in other films as well. I could never picture Errol without anyone but Olivia but I'm surprised she continued to get parts for movies. You must think I hate Olivia. In order to redeem myself, my favorite part in They Died with Their Boots On was the wagon trail conversations between Olivia and California. Olivia has never looked nor reacted so realistically. The scenes were sincere and entertaining and i got caught up in those scenes more than any other.

James H (kr) wrote: Amusing follow up Support Your Local Sheriff, the cast is great especially the supporting players. It has cheesy production values though, the sets in particular are poor and there was very little regard at all to period detail.
