Erin B (fr) wrote: I loved it, it didn't just give the zombie story like most zombie movies do. It gave depth and perspective. I would watch it again and recommend it to anyone who loves the zombie genre

Rodney C (jp) wrote: This came up in a recommendation because we liked Memento.

Jenn T (br) wrote: Meh. Decent acting but terrible plot.

Sarah S (gb) wrote: Great depth. Wonderful showscase about a police family and the up and downs. Beautifully acted especially by wahlberg, phoenix and robert duvall who still at his age manages to outshine his younger co stars. Yes some people disagree with me on this film. some say the russian mob is seen as dumb in this movioe but i thought they were well displayed and love the whole story arc about joaquin has to decide between his russian family and his own cop family. a must see.

Zak G (jp) wrote: THE SEA IS WATCHING was another pick from my girlfriend. She loves foreign films, as does I, and she figured we'd both like this one. Hell, I figured I'd like it after seeing that it was written by Akira Kurosawa. What did I like? Well, the cinematography and a couple of the performances. What didn't I like? Everything else. The film gets pretty fucking tedious at times, and it resembles a Japanese soap opera in its worst moments. Otherwise, it's an OK film, nothing more, nothing less. Are you listening to Massive Attack yet, fuckers? If you're not, then I wish I would be given license to shoot you with a musical efficiency dart. That way, you'd start listening to the right music, instead of listening to garbage like Usher, you folks living in America. Listen boitches!!!!!!!

Jacob B (gb) wrote: While it perhaps could've been better, xXx boasts a worthy performance from Vin Diesel, plenty of amazing action sequences and even a couple of laughs here and there that ought to keep the film's target demographic pleased. After all, Vin Diesel's fanbase does consist primarily of teens. Personally, I think this film could've been the start of another franchise for Vin Diesel following the Fast & Furious and Riddick franchises but it sadly got limited to half-assed spiritual successor starring Ice Cube and an upcoming belated sequel in which Diesel returns. Yay, I guess? Might as well see how xXx 3 turns out.

Lady D (br) wrote: Known in the UK as 'Freezer' this is an interesting Thriller, which I feel has a certain Hitchcock influence to it, reminders of Psycho and Rope came to mind at times. It really begs the question, what you would do in this desperate scenario? There is a certain amount of predictability to it, but despite this it was an enjoyable revenge storyl.

Kendall I (ru) wrote: Rumored to be one of the worst movies ever made..they got that right! PLOT:Notoriously bad crook, Renzo Capeto (Anthony Carbone) offers to take a band of Cuban escapees to freedom, along with a bunch of money. He kills his charges and takes control of the boat, blaming it all on a legendary monster of the area. They later found out the monster is real and must defeat it and carry on their plan. It's a pretty boring sounding plot to me, and it is executed much worse than that. ACTING:They chose the wrong people to be in this movie. If they were being serious, than what were they on? SCORE:Misplaced and misorganized, it doesn't even fit the mood right. EFFECTS:The monster itself actually doesn't look too bad. It's large, hairy, seaweed-covered, buck teeth, and with unreal bulging eyes. It sounds dumb, but is actually quite decent. OTHER CONTENT:There's a whole bunch of things wrong with this film. Firstly, the screenplay is garbage. It's just silly, random, unnecessary, and confusing. It made me laugh because of how stupid the lines and happenings are. There's a dude who mainly speaks in animal sounds, a phone booth on a deserted island, many unnecessary chase scenes, and even a phony disguise. Secondly, the director obviously doesn't know how to use the word "cut" right. Whenever somebody messes up a line or action, it wasn't cut and when there was another bit of scene left to finish, he did cut it. It's a filmmaker's nightmare! I was surprised to see this on my 50 Classic Horrors pack because of it's mediocre controversy. That let me know, the director was serious about this movie. I don't know if that or the screenplay was funnier! OVERALL,a sucky "horror" movie with a boring and horribly-executed plot, wrongly cast actors, misplaced score, decent effects (for a bad move that is), laughable screenplay, and a misuse of the word "cut"!

Keeley A (gb) wrote: Wow! I don't usually rate films but I feel I need to warn people, Worst film I've seen in a long time! Cheese upon cheese upon cheese, with a bad story line and bad acting. One up side to the movie Giulio (Raf) has an amazing body which is out most of the time, not worth sitting through the movie for tho.
