Yash B (ru) wrote: What makes John Carney's "Once" such a joy to watch is how beautifully simple it is. The movie is a sweet one with music that both sounds good and contributes to telling the story and showcasing the emotions of the characters. I think this is a unique music film that is worth seeing. It is very grounded in reality and it feels genuine. The events in the movie are fairly ordinary but that adds to the realism of it. The ending of this movie was bittersweet and it combined the quality of the story and music so effortlessly.

Serdar C (gb) wrote: Fantastic movie, deeply moving and funny at the same time. Story of a middle aged man running a family restaurant, dealing with lots of things in his life, an ex-wife and a daughter he needs to spend more time with, a younger girlfriend whom he is having commitment problems, an old father who wants to remarry his wife who has alzheimer, a hearth attack and a very old friend who pays a visit. Ricardo Darin is very good here, he is my favoritte Argentinian actor, well I've seen three great Argentinian movies so far and he is in all of them! He is not a looker, he is no Dick Watson, but he is a great actor. The poem scene was very dramatic even through the english subtitles and the intercom scene was just perfect. AND WHO THE FUCK IS DICK WATSON!? Find out after the credits :)

M C (br) wrote: Completely insane. Just a fun fact, Stephen King claims he was on cocaine for most of the production, and it shows. Almost everything about the film is over-the-top! The script is pretty crazy. There are lines and entire scenes that are very random and unintentionally funny. The fact that some of the actors really ham it up doesn't help. Though the kill scenes have great effects and are very well filmed. But that doesn't make a soda machine attack any scarier, it's just awesomely bad. Combine all that with a great score by AC/DC and you get one of the best bad movies ever made. 95/100
