Kevin A (kr) wrote: The director tells the story from the three perspectives smoothly with touches of humor , warmth and reality. The deleted scenes would have been welcome. I hesitated because of the title for months before moving it up on my list I am glad i did.Michael Pitt is the stand out performance in this crime caper. If not loving it, most will definitely like it.

Claigh Y (br) wrote: * Interesting concept* Enjoyable throughout without being amazing* No redemption for characters played by Jason Sudeikis & Christina Applegate

Daniel D (nl) wrote: As a preface to the original Bionicle movie, "Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui" strengthens a bit more with conflict and character, which even manages to pull a couple surprises that shows some of the mystery to their world. However, it continued to run with speedy transition in the scenes, weak moral, and lifeless activity in their enviroment that still brings little satisfaction to the overall feeling and idea. There's been little progression to expand the Bionicle series' reputation, but that little bit may help strengthen itself into something grand one day.

Howard S (gb) wrote: Loved the feel of the movie but it's hard to feel for a character you can't sympathize with.

Atomick S (us) wrote: A compelling psychological thriller that features Alan Bates in one of the finest performances of his career as a worldly and menacing drifter, versed in folk traditions of the Australian aboriginal people, who comes to stay for a short time with an unsuspecting couple.Haunting in its editorial pacing, with atmospheric cinematography and featuring a disturbing audio track that hones the film to a fine edge, The Shout explores issues of control and domination all bound up inextricably with primitive magic and superstition. This film has remained on my list of favorites since I first saw it in the mid-1980s, and is a reminder of the brilliance of horror that does not rely on gore, shock-paced editing, or other hallmarks of modern fright films. This is a thinking-person's film and deserves a great deal more recognition than it has thus far received.

Petros T (mx) wrote: Another great, side-splitting entry in the Marx filmography. The prelude to their masterpiece, "Duck Soup", that would come out the following year.

Lady D (gb) wrote: I was completely intrigued by the synopsis of this one, but fairly disappointed with the film. Many boring bits throughout, but one you want to stick with to find out the outcome. It wasn't all bad, the plot was a pretty interesting one, just far too drawn out.

Phil P (ag) wrote: Beautiful scenery, great music, and beautiful people. "If you want to feel alive, you have to take risks"
