New York Stories

Three stories happening in New York. The first, by Scorsese, is about a painter who creates his works helped by high volume music and an attractive assistant; second, by Coppola, is about a rich and bold 12 years old who helps her separated parents to reconciliate; third, by Allen, is a witty piece of comedy about the impossibility of getting rid of the son's role.

The film is divided into three stories, each exploring a different aspect of life in the Big Apple. A middle-aged artist obsessed with his pretty young assistant, a precocious 12 year old living in a hotel, and a neurotic lawyer with a possessive mother make up three Gotham tales. . Daniel G (gb) wrote: Brilliant cinematography, and so forth. I was gripped to continue watching from the beginning to the end. The plot twist is not something that has happened in this real life we live yet. but someday it might. So we should always be careful who we trust, and work with so convincingly. Seagal really steps up to the plate in every movie he makes. I mean yeah he did get a bit fat, but he still practices his Aikido. just pick up his movies and study his moves in each movie, somewhere in the scene he shows real Aikido. you can find youtube clips of him when he was really young teaching and demonstrating Aikido. Seagal knows how to act in every movie, no matter what the budget. And any actor that can star in the movies he does, write them sometimes. direct them. Has my respect forever!

Jacob S (es) wrote: This movie is stupid and goofy and is nothing in comparison to The Big Lebowski. However, for some reason this movie has a charm on me and this goes down as probably one of my favorite movies ever.

Donald P (de) wrote: "Big Jake" is an underrated movie. John Wayne is at his best with his son, Patrick, Richard Boone and Christopher Mitchum.

John D (mx) wrote: Really painfully flawed. Let's get that clear but... But really great acting and the cinematography. Fantastic. Oh and it's really actually funny. Tell me you didn't laugh. Plus there's a deeper tale in there. Not a great one, but a flawed epic tale about men, women, relationships, and purpose. The essence of was being a story about being flawed and it is flawed. Sort of a train wreck but at the same time I gotta say that this is a fun romp of a show.

Mario P (it) wrote: Contrary to the Critic Reviews I found this movie to be pretty good if you like over the top fighting scenes and car chases. Jason Statham was born for this type of role, very entertaining movie.
