Conor B (br) wrote: Not funny nor sexy, nor romantic. Just boring.

Michelle H (br) wrote: when you think of chick flicks, you think of mean girls. A total great movie to boot

Aaron H (ag) wrote: This guy has lived one messed up life. It is so funny and so sad at the same time.

Jacky L (ca) wrote: very, very funny and yet, poignant too. great performances from the two actresses playing the protagonists. very bittersweet, brilliant actually. not sure it'd be appreciated by younger (read: 20s) females , or dudes. a rather "reminisce about the days, reflect about life" kinda movie.

Daniel A (es) wrote: Una divertida historia, que como plano de fondo adopta las dificultades y el ingenio de un grupo de inquilinos. Recomendada por destacado manejo del espacio.

Cresswell S (us) wrote: ok, but slow moving Vietnam film about a newly ranked LT. and his squad

Ryan G (it) wrote: A relentlessly violent and haunting political drama. It subtly taps into the dark and horrifying aspects of war journalism while also commenting on the enraging blindness of anti-communism. Also, James Woods gives the performance of a lifetime.

Tyson P (gb) wrote: pretty cool movie in the same vein as Shaft. Instead of chef from southpark doing the soundtrack though its rick james, who does an equally well job and gives the movie its charisma. Instead of following a private eye like in shaft you follow a criminal on his way to the top of the streets of harlem. Get throwback to the 60s, check it out.

Gordon S (gb) wrote: i just watched this on television the other night. i haven't seen it in about 30 years. i fell in love with goldie hawn the first time i watched at at about 7 years old. it's corny and stagey and dated but it has a wonderful innocence about it. and of course there's a wonderfully brief appearance from "starsky".

Stella D (ca) wrote: ok i got sucked into this one. cowboy vs. modern world; not a huge fan of westerns or douglas but this was a heartbreaker. great script by dalton trumbo tho i'm not sure who came up with that title lol. with walter matthau, lovely young gena rowlands, oh, and george kennedy plays a mexican (!)

CB M (de) wrote: Tom Hanks tries hard as the good-natured title character, but there's little charm in the film's banal and unappealing script.

Jaime W (gb) wrote: Heart-stopping, gut-wrenching, breath-taking bravura. Drugs are a hellhole. This film exposes that, and the painful emptiness underneath the surface. See it and feel its effect. Let it transform you in a way few films can.

Christopher B (de) wrote: A classic - teachers the way we wish they had been.

Kevin R (es) wrote: I don't blend. The xXx unit has lost enough agents and needs a new, special ops agent from Agent Gibbons past. He frees a former soldier, and former army buddy, to take down an international cartel; however, the cartel kidnaps Agent Gibbons. The former colleague will need to strap up the boots with Agent Gibbons' lackey and try to rescue Agent Gibbons and bring down the cartel."You can die in here or you can take the fight to them."Lee Tamahori, director of Die Another Day, Along Came a Spider, Next, The Devil's Double, The Edge, Mullholland Falls, Once were Warriors, and The Patriarch, delivers xXx: State of the Union. The storyline for this picture is dreadful, unimaginative, and painfully pathetic. The action scenes were awkward as was the acting. The cast includes Samuel L. Jackson, Ice Cube, Willem Dafoe, Xzibit, Nona Gaye, Peter Strauss, and Scott Speedman."'I don't play with my life. I'd rather play with yours."I came across this on Netflix and decided to watch it again for the first time in a long time. This was fairly terrible with few redeeming qualities. I'm not sure I would even recommend this to action genre junkies, because even the action is lacking. I recommend skipping this."You're going to want to be real delicate here."Grade: D
