(nl) wrote: Not bad, not bad. It has its moments and 90 minutes you spent to watch it are not for nothing, a fresh idea, with a bit more of involvement by actors and crew it had potential to give more, newer the less it is fun to watch. For zombie movie collectors this one you don't want to miss.
(gb) wrote: We Have A Pope is about a newly elected pope who is not quite ready for the position. Before he goes in front of everyone he does some soul searching, roaming about the city, trying to figure himself out. The movie has great style and wit, and I highly recommend it.

(nl) wrote: Brilliantly Creepy, and suspenseful in every way. This movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Who would've thought someone knocking on your door could end up like that. It only makes it more creepy that it actually happened!

(ag) wrote: This is a weird drama that is very slow moving. I did not like these characters and the plot is not interesting. Both Guy Pearce and Lili Taylor have made better movies than this one.
(nl) wrote: An amazingly well made and acted (what a cast) mystery / contemporary sci fi / thriller. They took a good idea for a plot - time travel - and really made the most of it. A future classic - pun intended... ;-)

They paid the price here under the blistering, burning, blazing, scorching, roasting, toasting, baking, boiling, broiling, steaming, searing, sizzling, grilling, smoldering, VERY HOT New Mexico sun. For there is a saying in these parts: those who lust in the dust shall die in the dust
(us) wrote: Mr. Mom is amusing at best but is as simple as a plot can get - a role reversal film. The film likes to show its orkaholic behavior shifts and Michael Keaton becoming increasingly feminine, which can be amusing at first if the idea isn't dragged out too long.Michael Keaton gets fired from his automotive job and his housewife decides to get a job herself while Keaton stays around the house and watches their three kids, not only does Keaton learn how hard it is to be a stay at home dad and eventually a jealous paranoid slob while his wife becomes a stressed workaholic at an advertising company.Mr. Mom is once again noticably simple and it feels like it may have been done before. Keaton does an excellent performance though and his character is likable enough. The atmosphere of the film besides Keaton though is pretty bland. The odd subplot of Keaton's wife and her pervert boss trying to hit on her is stale and isn't really needed. The film takes an odd turn when Keaton becomes a lazy slob who grows more and more feminine, albeit amusing it feels out of place. Mr. Mom's not bad but it isn't anything to write home to.

(au) wrote: This film was another one of Woody Allen's autobiographical films and I liked it quite a bit. The film doesn't have just one story and some of the side stories don't even really fit in that well, but it somehow all still works. I actually liked a lot of the little side stories more than the main family's stories. The cast is really solid and there are a ton of famous people who do little cameos in this as well and that added to it. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this film and checked off another Woody Allen film off my list.

(ag) wrote: Very powerful performance from Richard Harris playing a rugby star who tries to have a relationship with his widowed landlady Rachel Roberts. It??s a realistic portrait of a character??s struggle with success and his loneliness. I??m surprised that the Academy nominated both Harris and Roberts for this film, if this came out today I couldn??t see either role getting awards attention. There are a lot of tough moments throughout and the final scenes with the two leads are pretty intense. If you watch this film expecting to see a sports film about rugby, you??ll be disappointed, but if you want to see a film with great acting and a deep story, this is that film.
