Lisa B (nl) wrote: I really liked this film, and if you don't ask too much from it, you might like it, too. It's nice to see an affluent NY family, not written from Woody Allens POV that run into their personal chaos, and real-life situations, with some twists and surprises, (come on, Lake house Viking funeral, you were expecting that? Really?) reveal some personal reflection and growth, at the end. It wasn't perfect, no, but it presented a story of a family's life, with an array of situations that we can find, at least one, or more, that we can relate to. Plus, you can watch it with someone under twelve, and have a conversation about it. The unflinching look at how a person communicates and strives, post-stroke, is enough to give this film merit. Everything is not cinema; this is a family movie. Nothing has to blow-up. You can sit back and enjoy a NY lifestyle that most of us rarely see, and also see that it isn't perfect.

Michael W (de) wrote: The Golan-Globus/Cannon team recycles its formula for action films. In a stroke of genius, the production team brings back the dynamic pairing of Dudikoff and James from American Ninja with predictably strong results. We can overlook minor deficiencies such as second-rate child actors and a bad wig for John Ryan's double in the climactic scene.

Nina L (jp) wrote: Sad stroy. Good movie. Wood & Redford are great. Good photography in Mississippi.

Nikolai E (es) wrote: Film buffs, be sure to look out for the church scene, as it contains a particularly interesting transition to a rare and elusive "extreme medium shot"! Blink, and you'll miss it.

Kyle M (us) wrote: This really good western flick was finely well done with a fun and cool tone and a good cast as well. (A-)(Full review coming soon - with better wording)
