Mark C (ag) wrote: Phenomenal movie!! Great story... Great acting... a definite must see for anyone who likes drama movies!!

Sasha S (au) wrote: I was surprised by this film. The lack of dialog was refreshing.

Cristian G (nl) wrote: Reading some of the reviews from the critics with "gender cliche" statements, and "tenderness and good intentions don't necessarily add up to a good movie"---I scratch my head and wonder, did we see the same movie? Because this movie was rather brilliant. It was sensitive, and at the same time, brutally honest and incredibly uncomfortable at times. Growing up in a latin family, and with the uber-macho culture that latin families tend to embrace, this film is incredibly accurate of what that environment can be be like. What I enjoyed most is even though a part of you wants to hate the father figure role of the film (which Esai plays to perfection), you understand his character at the same time. This is a very well executed film. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Adam K (nl) wrote: Devastating first person account of September 11, courtesy of a bunch of camcorders, and a bit of an ethical grey area.

F B (us) wrote: Awesome film!! Pure and simple action and brain in neutral and enjoy the ride.

Kevin C (us) wrote: The story itself is a bit too weak, but the excellent acting completely makes up for it.

Christopher M (ca) wrote: "Trumpy, you can do stupid things."Just a quote from MST3K that describes the awfulness of this film. Riffed, this gets five stars, but half is what it gets unriffed. They even took footage from The Galaxy Invader and spliced it into the opening credits.

Thomas T (es) wrote: Extraordinary dialogue. Smart dialogue. Basically, Gattaca has the dialogue that the well-chosen cast managed to pull off excellently.

Roger J (fr) wrote: I was not so impressed as the reviewers. Weak plot, technical errors. Quite a good movie, but no accolades from me.

Michael W (ca) wrote: Steve Reeves returns as Hercules in this sequel, as a peacemaker between two warring brothers battling to rule his hometown. Unfortunately, Herc's mission of peace is derailed after he drinks from "the waters of forgetfulness"(?) and can't remember anything. If only some of us could drink from this fountain after a drunken misadventure. This film had a time and a place but it feels like that time passed ages ago.

Joseph C (gb) wrote: Another in a series of classic Hitchcock films whose plot hinges on some dark coincidence: here the brushing of shoes. Everything in this film is top-notch: Walter's sociopathic Bruno vs Granger's rather feckless Guy, the genesis of the Burks-Hitchcock relationship and its wonderful cinematography, the disturbingly beautiful Hitchcockian murder sequence, perfect Tiomkin score. Few films are as much fodder for criticism both literary and philosophical as Hitchcock's, and this one will keep you up at night. Plus, it is just highly entertaining.

Martin T (fr) wrote: I adored this movie in high school/college, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Essentially a character study, but without interesting characters. Mickey Rourke does a good job, but Eric Roberts' goofy performance is too much. Kind of nice at times, but completely inconsequential.
