I'm tempted to blame it on the large cast of characters but I think it the problem goes beyond that. This may seem strange to say, but it was actually a little difficult to understand the characters' motivation at first because occupied Paris didn't look that bad. There was a surprising shortage of evil Germans although more than enough eager French collaborators to fill the gap as the movie progressed. I'm sorry to say I can't recommend this - but would suggest you see "Army of Shadows" instead.

SO it picks up well constructed school, neatly uniformed students, slim looking parents with a fat salary and problems which are arsing from the comfortable life styles, Mr. AAmir you assume India is built by these bunch of capitalist... He also shows that finding Osama Bin Laden means nothing, and the American approach is obviously ridiculous. He comes back to the birth of his son while peace in Middle East is not visible at all.

There's some desperately interesting stuff in here but it struggles to make itself heard above a steady rush of odd, nasty, and plain disconcerting images. Probably the closest to a nightmare you're ever going to find in documentary cinema.

I expected to see more cyberpunk "things", or even some explanation to what was going on, and maybe that's what lacked. Apparently this flick was directed to a specific crowd, the one that already knew the short story... or maybe it pushes us toward reading the short story and then, come back and watch the film again. But that's just one man's opinion.
Paul J (br) wrote: I actually find it difficult to say this film deserves even one star. Hands down, the lamest video nasty I've seen. Despite the story actually being half-decent, it's the direction, writing and cinematography that are dreadful. I suppose for the late sixties, the graphic nature of some of the gore was highly disturbing. Also, suggested animal mutilation and rape are both addressed. With that in mind, it's somewhat interesting to see the gross-out factor. There's even a twist ending that might have influenced Friday the 13th. (The villain is even reminiscent of the Scream baddie.) However, the whole movie drags at a painful pace and the characters are laughable.
