Kevin G (nl) wrote: Finally I've run across a couple found-footage movies that get it right. This is definitely one of them. Some good suspense and atmosphere throughout with believable characters and an unsuspected ending.

Robyn S (kr) wrote: This is the real story about how the Sonics were given away to a greedy owner by an apathetic city council, mayor and owner. It's got everything - interviews, drama, and actual fightin' footage. Must see!

Mike S (au) wrote: Has some quirky moments, (and Kristen Bell), but it feels unfinished and has a number of plot holes. The film feels more like a play than a film with a small cast, bolstered by the presence of Kristen Bell. The film is only 84 mins long but it feels more like 60 mins, but not due to good pacing. It just feels like a chapter was missing. Kristen Bell is in the film. That is a good thing. The rest of the film is not.

Michael W (au) wrote: Actually a good premise and Idea, just boringly executed with random unnecessary effects.

Bobby L (mx) wrote: When this came out I heard nothing but praise for it, and I think it lives up to it. The director stylizes it a bit, but allows for an actual plot and character development, and the titular Kraken looks fairly good, most of the time, the score is easily the best part about the movie, and the actors weren't god awful and suited their roles to a large degree and there was a good amount of fun to be had. If you don't like B-movies, this won't convert you, but if you do, you'll be suitably impressed. Also, this is actually decently made and fun, unlike the near perfect Shark Attack 3, which is soo bad it's brilliant. See the difference? I do!

Regi H (kr) wrote: This is Hayden's best performance. He proved to me that he can indeed be a good actor under good enough direction. It is a truly interesting story! It is a great look into the mind of a sociopath. Everyone has good enough motivations and it makes sense why everyone does what they do! It is very suspenseful.

TheRantingAnchor R (br) wrote: This is one of those movies that doesn't get the respect it deserves. From the badass theme song to the well-choreographed fight scenes to how true it is to the game to actors that can actually act to decent special effects, Mortal Kombat is currently one of only three decent video game movies (the other two being Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time).

John A (de) wrote: Enjoyable Slow-Burn Crime Thriller, To Do With An Investigation Of Triple Murder, With Faces Skinned And Teeth Shot Out, So The Victims Can Not Be Identified. A Great Use Of Atmosphere Has Been Used, As Well As Some Great Performances From The Main Cast As Well As The Suppoorting Cast. Main Cast Includes: William Hurt, Lee Marvin, Ian Bannen, Brian Dennehy & Joanna Pacula. Supporting Cast Includes: Michael Elphick, Richard Griffiths & Rikki Fulton. This Is A Well Crafted Cold War Thriller, With The Usual Double Agents E.T.C. Great Direction, Great Cast, Decent Story.

Brock H (fr) wrote: It just didn't work for me. I loved the original which maybe why I'm so hard on the film but I don't have that connection with characters. It was shot nicely and had semi good dialogue, but the "horror" scenes were terrible. They were extremely fake even though distantly shot. Abby was portrayed as more sinister in this version which created less connection between the audience and her. Still it was a decent movie which had some potential.

Russell G (au) wrote: Early Hammer film. A weird radioactive creature that burst from the earths core is reaping havoc trying to get more radiation for reasons unknown. With the first half playing like THE THING, and the second like THE BLOB, you can't really go wrong with this one.
