Nicholas I (ca) wrote: despite the controversy around the production of the film, it ends up being fast paced action and wonderfully acted film. the supporting cast is strong and the chemistry between Cruise/Kidman is clever and romantic. all around a solid, under-appreciated and over-looked tale of redemption and victory in the fast-lane!

Margarita S (mx) wrote: Lots happening in this fun filled film right from the get go. It's own self-absorption is both comical, irritating and playfully ironic.

John M (nl) wrote: Exploitation and grindhouse fans licking their chops after seeing the lobby poster for Werewolves on Wheels will leave disappointed and a little confused. The music isn't cheesy enough (it's actually pretty good), the acting isn't really that bad, and the nudity and violence are fairly tame. In other words, Werewolves on Wheels isn't as fun as it should have been. Seemingly made with pretensions toward the film festival circuit instead of the drive-in, this movie's legitimately redeeming qualities (earnest storytelling, attempts at dramatic tension) don't mix well with its flower child dialogue, satanic rituals, and golden age wolfman costumes. Mainly interesting for those left wondering how Easy Rider would have turned out if it were a monster movie, Werewolves on Wheels at the very least should be seen as an example of how much more interesting films were in the 1970's.

I can't without saying Striesand. I have smelt farts taht entertained me more than BABS ever will. Rosie O'Donnel's ever growing love for her sickens me. Vote libertarian.

Steve W (br) wrote: Before Don Siegel did crime classics like Dirty Harry, he was Donald Siegel and he did some crime thrillers. This one was pretty solid, with uneven monologues from juvenile delinquents and the people trying to set them on the straight path. The movie is mostly build up, but it does have an emotionally satisfying ending.

Steve G (mx) wrote: Studies have shown that nearly 98% of all males cry at the final scene. I was not exempt. Love this movie. A wonderfully original idea. The only draw-back is Costner's annoyingly screechy & hard-headed wife. The only place the film is found wanting is in her repelent demeanor. Otherwise, I love it. A beautiful idea. And a touching ending.

Kenny G (br) wrote: Et frste-klasses drama om Een kvinde mod systemet. Filmen gengiver en grim virkelighed og den stjernespkkede rolleliste holder dig fast i denne..

Ryan B (ag) wrote: Such an amazingly informative flick!

Grant S (es) wrote: Interesting and often heartwarming true story. A convicted double-murderer finds solace and peace through caring for birds in his prison cell. Well directed by John Frankenheimer: good use of camera angles to convey the isolation, and subsequent changes to the Birdman. Only negatives are that the story is quite linear, and a bit long-winded.Good performance by Burt Lancaster in the lead role, a performance for which he received an Oscar nomination. Telly Savalas and Thelma Ritter received Best Supporting Actor/Actress Oscar nominations for their performances. Good performance too from Karl Malden as the warden.
